I have the GTX 1660 since 2 years, on Ryzen 7 3800x. Yes I have bottleneck but that card can handle everything at 1080p medium 144 fps. It was the best choice to do; but now I think it’s too late for her :D I would go for a 1660ti instead!

the regular 1050 is much worse as it oly comes with 2gigs of vram and is more of something between the 1030 &nd 1060 closer to the first, whreas the 1050ti is a downgraded 1060

All the benchmark from all the games were accurate except for the Resident evil 2. Both cards were very distracted and could not concentrate on their full potential on that particular game.

What's worth it is bumping down just a few certain graphic settings in GTA 5 and watch your fps sky rocket. Right off the bat, switching Grass Quality from High to Normal gives you an instant and insane 11-12 fps boost. It also makes driving much easier off-road. Switching Shadow Quality from Very High to High will give you a very generous 8-9 fps boost. Switching Soft Shadows from NVIDIA PCSS to sharp will give you an instant 7-8 fps boost. Sharp Soft Shadows just so happen to look BETTER than PCSS anyway. Setting Distance Scaling to 50% gives you an instant 5-6 fps boost. I've noticed very, very minimal pop-ins at 50%. Switching High Detail Streaming While Flying from On to Off gives you an instant 4-5 fps boost. 11-12 + 8-9 + 7-8 + 5-6 + 4-5 = 35-40 EXTRA FPS!

still love the 1050ti. my gaming laptop has a 1050 overclocked to reach the 1050ti and I can play pubg with everything on ultra except shadows which gets me 40-60 fps. lowering down foliage and other things but keeping anti aliasing and textures to ultra easily gets me over 60 fps with cool temperatures.

I just got a Nvidia GTX 1660 6GB Ventus XS OC and i can tell you it is AMAZING for the price. I'd upgrade if you got the 1050Ti or 1060Ti. it beats both easily.

Lol this test is pointless when your GTX 1660 is bottlenecked by CPU... Sometimes the CPU usage is 100%, while GPU usage is around 50-60% (at the same moment on the left side GTX 1050 Ti usage is 100%) This CPU is maybe good for 1050 Ti but to weak for 1660. I don't know if this is scam benchmark or not, but some people who don't have enough knowledge would say that "Why do I need to buy more expensive GPU when fps in games is just a bit better??"

In pubg 1660 is being bottlenecked by cpu with that setting (only 50% GPU is used) So actual result with better processor will be 👇👇 GTX 1050ti = 79 FPS GTX 1660. = 194 FPS Other games like GTA 5 are also being bottlenecked ,so this test doesn't actually show the difference between these 2 gpus
This 1660 has been overclocked GPU i VRAM, so it's about 15% better that stock. Normal 1660 has 1530/1980(boost) Mhz on Gpu & 4000Mhz on Vram. I had gtx 1050ti and i just changed to gtx 1660. It's worth, but now better is gtx 1660 Super

My power supply is 310 W, and it didn't have a 6 pin cable, so I used a SATA to 6 pin adapter. But it worked perfectly, and most games I play are running on Ultra at 60+ FPS. If you're on a budget and want to upgrade, I highly recommend getting it!

temperature depends on the model you are getting and case airflow, if you are really worried take a twin fan one

the 3770 non k is about the same level as this i5 if not the same a little less but the 3770k is better than this i5 however you dont have to worry about bottle necking with your cpu

For me it’s not even a question of “worth it” it’s necessary since I’m running a 1050ti rn that’s rlly starting to show it’s age, can’t play vr so I’m switching to a 1660 super (when I can find one 🙄)

As you can see CPU load in most of the games about 100% and at the same time GPU load 70-90%. It means that CPU bottlenecked GPU
This 1660 has been overclocked GPU i VRAM, so it's about 15% better that stock. Normal 1660 has 1530/1980(boost) Mhz on Gpu & 4000Mhz on Vram.
I had gtx 1050ti and i just changed to gtx 1660. It's worth, but now better is gtx 1660 Super

Well I recorded the game scenes and performance statistics separately and after that combine them in sony vegas editor

@@_W_DipyamanGhosal I upgraded to the 1650 Super very recently. I highly recommend you do the same, if you can! I bought mine for £150 and it performs almost 2 times better than the 1050 ti. My power supply is 310 W, and it didn't have a 6 pin cable, so I used a SATA to 6 pin adapter. But it worked perfectly, and most games I play are running on Ultra at 60+ FPS.
If you're on a budget and want to upgrade, I highly recommend getting it!
