I would add pens and notepads. Some things are worth noting other than on an electronic device, which can fail unexpectedly, or run out of power or connectivity. They are so handy for noting things on the go . . . for exchanging contact-details with new acquaintances....etc. Of course, they are essential both before and after a cruise-vacation e.g., for filling immigration forms and any other paperwork still in use in many parts of the world. Notes are also very handy for leaving little messages for fellow guests or for Cabin Stewards....You can speak without being present.....sharing a thought when you think it....regardless of different personal schedules.
Instead of shorts, I use shorts that hit just above the knee. I look like I have a skirt on, but it’s shorts too so if I need to have a skirt or dress, the skort will serve the purpose. Also, I like Kiel’s Butterstick Lip Treatment Sunscreen which protects, moisturizes and adds beautiful sheer color. The SPF is 30.
I bring 5 or 6 blank and thank you note cards with stickers to write a nice note for my steward, favorite bartenders and the staff at the thermal suite to put the cash tips in. I always carry a spiral bound notebook of index cards in my purse, small and from the dollar store. These are great for notes or contact info when l just don't want to look at my phone.😊
PS- I have a vinyl magnetic dry erase white board that is super thin that I bring stick on the wall or door to leave any notes for my steward or friends and stuff. Will bring 2 markers tied to string on clip and this eraser that is 3" long and 1/2" wide. It has come in really handy. 😊
The magnet hooks for clothes, schedules, etc maximizes every inch of a small cab. Having every thing accessible for your day makes life so much easier!
Great list 👍🏾👍🏾 I like to bring a tray that I can take to the buffet so that I can get everything at one time. This is handy for me when cruising solo as I don’t like to leave my food or drink unattended.
I use packing cubes because they save space in the suitcase as they are intended. The other great thing is just putting the entire cube in a cruise ship drawer so it makes unpacking so fast on the the day of embakation. I also use a couple on the way home for dirty clothes so they are kept separated from clean clothes I didn't wear.
@4:02 You say: "do not allow typical power ships." What is a power ship? What is a power cube? How does the cruise ship know you brought your own power ship? Thank you for a great video.
OMG.... need another suitcase for all the extras !! We do carry many of the items mentioned, however find the shoe organizer over kill & is not necessary unless your cruising for 15 days or more.....too much stuff to pack & unpack.....relax & enjoy
My husband does not think we need to bring our passport in a port of call, I think you should always have it on you except while on the ship. Please confirm?
Www.travel.state.gov states that a pass card can be used during cruises that start and return to a US Port. I take my passport with me at all times! I have had a passport book for 20 years now. The Ultimate ID for US citizens!
Hand sanitizer is great however please be aware of how close you are to other people. I am highly allergic to the alcohol in it and can't breath around it.
Brought water bottles to ship but they wouldn’t let us through port security with them. Made us throw away and purchase one on board. Just wrong on every level! 😮
I've noticed pre paying tips just means I have to tip double. I won't be doing that. It's just a dishonest extra charge at that point. Very manipulative and greedy.
@Eatsleepcruise1 I think he means that you always give tipps, just because it feels awkward not to, even though you have paid for gratuity in advance. I see his point
Just don't pay the gratuities & only pay when U r happy. Seriously, you Americans need to pay people better so the worker does not rely on tips to live. I'm Australian ,so we very rarely tip !!! Ou workers are paid decent wages & hourly rates, it's the law
It is very useful for small items, esp. if you cruise with children. My wife and I are retired and use that over the door shoe organizer, that has never seen a shoe.
Do you have any other cruise essentials to add to this packing list? Let us know below.

I bring a travel size spray bottle of Downy wrinkle release since you can’t bring an iron. That stuff actually works.
Yes, it works great.
The magnet hooks for clothes, schedules, etc maximizes every inch of a small cab. Having every thing accessible for your day makes life so much easier!
Sun protection may also include chap stick.
This is true. Good point.

Smart idea. We will need to add that to our list.
Smart..
Smart thanks

Packing cubes are so convenient
Yes, we agree. Packing cubes are very useful.
Thank you, you answered all my questions
Good stuff! Thanks for the content!
Thanks, glad it was useful.
Stream2Sea sun screen and a rash guard are excellent items to take
We always take suntan lotion and a rash guard.
What should I bring and wear for my princess Alaska cruise from San Francisco on regal princess ship with a balcony stateroom
@4:02 You say: "do not allow typical power ships." What is a power ship? What is a power cube? How does the cruise ship know you brought your own power ship? Thank you for a great video.
Power strips
Do you have any Links to all these items?
Do you have links to these items? Thank you.
My sister is terrified of flying. So we're going to drive from Dallas to wherever we sail from.
Do you mind posting the link to your amazon recommended items?
OMG.... need another suitcase for all the extras !!
We do carry many of the items mentioned, however find the shoe organizer over kill & is not necessary unless your cruising for 15 days or more.....too much stuff to pack & unpack.....relax & enjoy
Lol. We pack most of these in our carry on, so no need for more luggage.
Shoe organizer is great for so many things
My husband does not think we need to bring our passport in a port of call, I think you should always have it on you except while on the ship. Please confirm?
Take a picture of it on your phone
Can a Passport card suffice on a Mexican excursion? If I have a copy of my passport, and the original passpost in our cabin?

shoe organizer is not needed, lol. plenty of storage space in bathrooms
Depends on the ship. We had a 49 night cruise on an older ship and the shoe organizer was well used.
👍🏻👍🏻
Brought water bottles to ship but they wouldn’t let us through port security with them. Made us throw away and purchase one on board. Just wrong on every level! 😮
Which cruise line?
Wait. Are you from RI? I just noticed your pronunciation of the word "carefully"--- you MUST be a Rhode Islandah!
lol, yes I am originally from RI. Are you?
Heck yes and I used to pronounce the word carefully the same way when I was younger lol.
I've noticed pre paying tips just means I have to tip double. I won't be doing that. It's just a dishonest extra charge at that point. Very manipulative and greedy.
That is not true. If you prepay gratuities you are not charged again.
@Eatsleepcruise1 I think he means that you always give tipps, just because it feels awkward not to, even though you have paid for gratuity in advance. I see his point

FLOATING CESSPITS!!
😅😅😅
I like your channel but my gosh, nobody needs the ghastly shoe organizer.
It comes in handy. Trust us. 😉
One thing about it, no one can or would steal it. 😅
It is very useful for small items, esp. if you cruise with children. My wife and I are retired and use that over the door shoe organizer, that has never seen a shoe.
I need the shoe organizer.. My sister uses them two and so does my Brother in law. We love the shoe Organizers
Well. Speak for yourselves not everyone else, lol..😅😅😅
