Im an elder millenial (39) who doesn't wear makeup and isnt a journalist. At MINIMUM, since day 1, I could tell you at least one of James Charles's allegations and name Tati Westbrook, as well as how Shane and Jeffy Starfish were involved. This 'journalist' has no excuse.
Another thing to note is that grooming includes desensitising children to sexual behaviour over time such as “sending and requesting suggestive photos” and talking about sexual things with children to normalise these topics. He may say he was just flirting but for someone who absolutely social media stalks the people he was chatting with, how did he miss that some of them had their age in their bios on TikTok or their posts about junior highschool.
So, what James meant by saying "groomer" is a buzzword is true. "Groomer" and grooming allegations are being used by Republicans in a pretty willy-nilly way in U.S. politics right now as a way of targeting trans folks and LGBTQ people. The trans side of it relates to gender affirming care for trans kids, but a lot of the LGBTQ targeting is going after drag shows, sex ed, and schools having teachers or books/media refer to LGBTQ people as, you know, existing. Because apparently in these people's minds, telling children that gay and trans people exist and it's okay is the same thing as grooming them to be those things and just grooming in the traditional sense. It also probably ties into the Qanon stuff since that's all centered around child trafficking. So James does have a point, but he really shouldn't have made it since he is an actual groomer regardless of his sexuality.
I think I have a theory on why James seems to be so against dating another gay guy and it has to do with James' preferences. James has said in the past that he's attracted to masculine men and he also acknowledged that within the gay dating scene that masculinity is the most preferred and that most gay men (including feminine gay men) are mostly attracted to more masculine men. James also shared that he's not into other feminine guys. I'm sure that James has tried Grindr and was noticing how difficult it is to get a masculine gay man (that's his type) because most masculine gay men prefer each other and are not into feminine guys, especially if they wear makeup. Also to note, most masculine gay men have no interest in makeup so they more than likely don't know who James is or if they do know, they aren't impressed with his celebrity status because they don't care about makeup and are not starstruck by his status like he'd like. And this is what more than likely made James go down this path, he's trying to find one of these kinds of bisexual guys who actually is open. Now why so young? That's the thing I'm not so sure about. Possibly he's stuck in a teenage mindset where he wants to experience a young relationship that he more than likely missed out on when he was in high which is the case for most of us gay men in general.Another possible reason is he thinks he can try to coerce and sway a young bi-curious guy to be with him and will be less likely to leave him. Just a random idea, but maybe he should start a 2nd channel. The thing after you get cancelled people compare your views when your views drop after that. So if its too significant (unlike david dobriks whose its not significant at all - like as in, its big, but even current views are too huge.), just start a new channel and then the focus is on just you, instead of your (()dropped()) views, and you can slowly grow back then. Also other very classically important idea instead is, just somehow, having your just lovers and audience who wants to see you, to have a way to interact with each other and not see the hate comments. Coz thats the biggest and only hinderance factor. In short, James more than likely has a lot of difficulty trying to find masculine gay men to date but what we feminine gay men do tend to attract a lot of are DL, "Discreet" type bisexual men and James has admitted that he has met up and hooked up with a lot of these men but per usual, they never stick around and leave him once they have sex. And this is what more than likely made James go down this path, he's trying to find one of these kinds of bisexual guys who actually is open.
Now why so young? That's the thing I'm not so sure about. Possibly he's stuck in a teenage mindset where he wants to experience a young relationship that he more than likely missed out on when he was in high which is the case for most of us gay men in general.Another possible reason is he thinks he can try to coerce and sway a young bi-curious guy to be with him and will be less likely to leave him. Again it's uncertain as to why he just doesn't date men around his own age, they don't even have to be older but just around 21-24 but he's still going for 18 year old boys and that is what is very unnerving, especially with how much he claims to want a relationship and settle which is so contradictory because how many 18-19-20 year olds do you know want to settle down? It's just ridiculous.

Babes, as a journalism major, I can confidentially tell you it’s not you ; this article was messy from start to finish and the excessive usage of vocabulary and out of context synonyms is often a sign of “fluffing up” the piece, which basically just means throwing random words around and rewriting sentences into these long winded phrases, mainly to have the article appear more “professional” (which there’s clearly none of, the bias is blatantly clear, which a proper and respected journalist would ensure their piece has none of)

Just a random idea, but maybe he should start a 2nd channel. The thing after you get cancelled people compare your views when your views drop after that. So if its too significant (unlike david dobriks whose its not significant at all - like as in, its big, but even current views are too huge.), just start a new channel and then the focus is on just you, instead of your (()dropped()) views, and you can slowly grow back then. Also other very classically important idea instead is, just somehow, having your just lovers and audience who wants to see you, to have a way to interact with each other and not see the hate comments. Coz thats the biggest and only hinderance factor. Like, if i go to comments and am a viewer of your channel, and see all comments just hate hate hate comments instead of relevant comments to the video, etc, then my mood just gets off. So that community feeling has to be preserved. But anyway dont really want this to be the norm, coz some people are actually bad who deserve to get cancelled.
