But best engine from Ford is the 300 inline straight six 4.9l I'm a proud owner of one of these as well In a 1995 f150 with a 5 speed over 300k miles and still going strong only thing wrong with this engine is the gas mileage it's not miles per gallon here it's gallons a mile lol been that why since my dad bought this truck new ive had it the last 11 years. my Gran Torino gets better mpg with the V8 lol but that's down to gearing truck vs car. I stopped in there and asked who owns it. It was the owner of the bar.
He confirmed it was the same dealer I traded mine in and it was my Torino.
I asked him if he didn't mind telling me what he paid for it. He said he got a deal. Dealer was asking $7900 he got it for $7000.
I WAS SMOKING HOT !
Dealer gave me $1600, and I thought that was great cause I only paid $1200 for it.
It was already a classic, I didn't know that at the time. I thought it was just a 13 year old car and not worth much. Car was mint and never ever gave me any problems
Yeah, gotta love those dealers, lol 😉
I having trouble getting over the fact a car this size only had 90hp
Lol, yeah the 250 straight 6 certainly wasn't a popular option on such a heavy car.
@@CarStarz42 must've been like trying to push water uphill.
My 1973 has a 302 with about 135hp. They were downsizing engines first to get past fuel prices and regulations. But they didn't improve gas milage much. Then they shrunk down the cars, like to a Fairmont.
The dude abides
😉👍
It's not a 73 , the 73 torino grille not only is in the middle but it wraps around all of the headlights also , unlike the one dude drove, i have no doubt they changed dog houses in some, but you can clearly look on Google and see that what i say is true, ,it was probably a 75 or 76 but the 73 did not have the oval grille
Like many movie cars; it's most likely a mix of parts from different years😉
Lots of backseat room woooo yaaaaaa
Indeed😉👍
I can't believe they scrapped the movie car. What a waste and how the hell did that make sense to do?
Yeah, pretty typical in the realm of movie cars unfortunately.
Hell yes, haha!
😉👍
can you also add the wheels of terror car to go live please
That one is indeed already on my list as well😉👍
The plate hasn't sold because it's a replica.
It's supposedly an authenticated prop from what it shows, which would mean it's not a replica I would think. Unless that "authentication" certificate deal is just for the signatures; I guess the fact they didn't specify that may be why it's been on there for so long.
@@CarStarz42 It's too pristine to have been an actual prop, especially after so many years.
Scene shows a beat up plate, fitting condition to car. Plate for sale is as new. Explain that. A replica. But if it's signed.....
@@RealBLAlley Yeah, it does look a bit "too nice" indeed. They need to explain more about it in the listing.
@@louisrauzi3872 Well, there were a number of plates made for the movie of course, so maybe it's one that they didn't actually put on the cars. Also, the plates on the car in the movie look more dirty than damaged, so it's possible I suppose.
Please do the Toronado from the dark, half Stephen king movie
I'll add that to the list to look into. Thanks😉👍
Sweet thank you
Sweet a dicast channel, I don't think they are allot on RUclips, or is it just me ?
Thanks, well; there are quite a few of them out there actually, but most don't have good lighting when they video their models and also most don't tell much about the model or it's origin and they generally don't take the whole thing seriously enough to provide enough value to the viewer in my opinion , so I made my own channel to do it better and add as much value to a few minutes of well lit footage as possible😉👍
if you have time do a show about SIMON and SIMON Red Z-28
Yep, will eventually get back around to covering other cars in shows/movies I've already touched on😉👍
I' m pretty sure tha movie maker wouldn't like seeing their movies treated like they treat cars. They really have no respect for our community and the work of others. I' d really like them to re manufacture every car they destroyed from raw material to a brand new car.
unrealistic, but that would be nice indeed 😉
Yeah thanks : ) @@CarStarz42
Has you done Uncle Buck car
Not yet, but it's on the list and will most likely be sooner than later since I've been in a "junker car" mood lately for some reason 😉
I wanna find a 73 ford torino 4 door but i dont want to build a close of this car. I want to build a clone of the blue on chrome reverse wheels stunt car from Hooper with Burt Reynolds when he drives it around the movie studio and rolls it wirh the short guy
Ah, that would be cool indeed 😉👍
I have the Hot wheels Back To The Further Time Machine 8/10 scale 2021 one.
😉👍
Do the popcorn sottens Mattel t plz day 10
I'll add it to the list to look into, thanks.
@@CarStarz42 you the best
I would much rather they destroy the Chrysler than a Ford
I think neglect killed them first, they just put them out of their misery 😉
$14k 😂
Sometines cheaper, sometimes more 😉
If it was a 74 or 76 and if it was red with a white stripe, but still rusted out like it is actually in the big Lebowski Starsky would be pissed
Lol, 😉👍
I build model car kits I'm ok I can not do the lebowski torino it's a advanced paint style my Friend Jack can
Yeah, I really sucked at painting the bodies back when I built models often as a kid and I STILL suck at painting, lol!
€85Mß y uncle had a 76 2dour Torino base as in no power anething an no air got toteled in ,,
Bummer
Outside of a Pontiac 6000, I can't think of a more uninteresting and forgettable car.
Lol.
😎❤
😉👍
That is not a 73 Grand Torino
Indeed it is a '73 friend.
72 rear bumper?
Rear 5mph bumpers didn't happen till 74
My 1973 has 5 mile per hour bumpers. Has since I bought it in 1979.
