To be more specific to orion's post below, the first soloist would be the late Tobias Eiwanger, who also sang several solos on the complete cantata set with Harnoncourt. Those solos were probably recorded in 1985, when Christoph Wegmann and Helmut Wittek also sang solos as sopranos, and Christian Immler and Panito Iconomou as altos, the year of the five soloists. The duet "Nimm mich mir" from cantata 163 that Tobias did with Panito is particularly nice. I think its posted on youtube somewhere.
Yes, thats a girl. Its the doughter of the choirleider, GSG who started the choir. Thats why its a girl there. She is the only girl who ever was in the choir
Merci
Wittek doesn´t seem to be there. At least I can not find him. - But I see Allan Bergius, not solo singing but standing in 2nd row. Seen a couple of times, best to the left of picture 1:09-1:17.
While we see people at a table at about 5:00 into the video, the rest of the presentation would argue against a contest per se. I expect that this is a cultural misunderstanding. Perhaps someone from Japan can explain what the adults at the table are doing?
Are there more videos where Barbara Schmidt-Gaden sing as child (Knäbin)?
I understand that, but they are not widely broadcast. I get voice students that want to sing like pop stars and refuse to learn good technique because they never hear anything like that. they don't get exposed to good singing and think it's not "cool." You don't see stuff like this readily available on TV unless you know where to look and happen to live in the right area.
Jairdan, you are doing it again! I find it very disturbing that you keep ciriticizing German culture all the time. If you don't like these TV shows, then don't watch them.
I wish there was more like this in America. Here everyone wants to sing like in"High School Musical." These kids impress me much more. . .
Super!
i love the way the swing in time to the beat. It is beautiful, a lovely song.
