    But trowel is useful for later level excavations, cause if you connect fissure points and hit that with a 2 barred trowel you make a big holes that often reveal the extra loot, which easily leads to thousands of extra coins and rare materials

    • @erikdandurand3124
      @erikdandurand3124 2 года назад +5

      This. It is easier on green and blue leads but you can often get indeko runes and rare style materials

    • @ExplorationGamingESO
      @ExplorationGamingESO  2 года назад +2

      Play whatever style you like, but bonus loot is random. Playing with the fissures will only end up damaging the antiquity, in my experience.

    • @arcaneking2355
      @arcaneking2355 2 года назад +6

      @@ExplorationGamingESO you need to dig up the antiquity first, have the trowel also able to dig up fissure points without damaging and it works great. Very useful for ones trying to make zone exclusive equipment as those digsites have a lot of the materials required for it

    • @danielhurst8863
      @danielhurst8863 Год назад

      @@ExplorationGamingESO No, the fissures can only damage the antiquity if the path goes UNDER the case, which will never happen if the antiquity is revealed. Not only can you get decent runes and style materials, zone sets can drop as well.
      Now, it is much harder to get all 3 bonus drops on gold, to the point it may not be worth even trying, but it is easy on any lessor one.

  • @shadokat

    I'm fully maxed in antiquities and it never occurred to me to use the heavy shovel after only two clicks instead of four. Using it at full strength always breaks master antiquities. Thanks for the tip! I disagree that going for the bonus items is a waste of time though. Have you tried using the smoking spots to explode a large part of the board at once? That will usually give you at least two in one shot. Thanks for the great video. I think it will help people.

    • @justbenice7448

  • @KwisatzHaderach77

    Bonus loot is not random. It's always "somewhat" nearby, so you just plow in the direction you can make the most headway in based on the obstacles and remaining levels around the artifact. It's very easy to find 2 or even 3 things in a gold. Well worth the time for items which sell to vendor for 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 5k, 10k, even higher sometimes.

      @@ExplorationGamingESO I have a system where I just do it along the way, by "almost" fully uncovering the artifact first using shovel as much as I can, while charging up the shovel clicks with W in the areas around it so that after I uncover the artifact I can finish those off with shovel as well. Sometimes the placement isn't optimal and I have to switch to using "A" to directly unearth a single square (if explosions are nearby etc). It adds a little more time but well worth the gold.

    You did mention a future expansion on this subject, i wonder will there be any advice in that about getting actual leads

      Treasure chests are great places to look for leads. In High Isle on the PTS I found a mythic lead in a bottle on the beach...it had a name, like abandoned bottle or something. I think many mythic leads on HI will be buried in the card game to make people play it.
      World events and world bosses also seem to be good prospects for leads.
