Been a while since "Strawberry Shortcake" made an appearance. :) What a nice example of the variety of projects you complete effortlessly. Thank you for bringing us along for the ride.
Hi from uk Chris👋👍 great job here on pad👌 I could watch you throw and grade screening with skidsteer all day long lol👍 nice to be back on solid ground for a bit 👌 thanks for you time be safe and see you soon👍👋
Alright, last RUclips video of the night is a Letsdig18 Chris vid. Always interesting to watch and hear his explanation of what he's doing and how he's going to do it. Definitely never boring. From the small jobs like these to the large multi video series pond one her just completed last recently.
Been a little while since we've seen you do some building construction prep. Nice little change of pace. Plus you knocked it out in a day?! Very different from these huge projects you've got going. Great job as always Chris. I sit here and think how nice it would be to have a contractor with not only your skill set, but your attention to detail. Sure different than what I'm used to.
Nothing can disappear faster than a load of stone! I just paid shy of $500 CAD a load for crushed 7/8 granite. Times 3. My 28 x 42 shop took over 20 loads. 💰💰💰💰💰
No mud, thats a plus. Good thing to show you don't always need an excavator or big equipment to remove trees or do a job like this. Obviously it was easier to load the trees after and a backhoe or excavator of a sort is needed for certain things on a job like this, like digging utilities or footers. Just awesome to see the things that can be done without the excavator or dozer even. Some get the impression you have to have big equipment to get a job done. Bet this was a good change of monotony, a needed break from the constant mud and pond work you've been doing.
Nice work Chris. The guys that did the pad for my garage were almost as talented as you. Not sure how you can grade things out like that and be so close to on the money before the transit comes out. Thanks for the video.
If you come across random lilac bushes or trees on older property it might be where an outhouse used to be. They were planted to mask the smell. I read about in an article the other day. They were also planted near houses cause they have scented candles and febreze back in the day.
Down south you don't need to dig footings for a garage, in New Hampshire, we need too, attached or unattached garage, but we also have a heavy frost up here in the winter, 4'+ of perma frost, great job!!!👊💪
@@sharonmiller6436 your right, it dont last a couple yrs, but 4+' of frozen solid ground is solid & moves things like slabs during the winter, life long resident, have seen some wierd things from our "frost's"
I always expect the Dump Trucks to be more full for whatever reason. Like the haul trucks. That stuff my stuff be heavy. You're so good at leveling the fill. You make it look so easy and yet I know it isn't. Another fantastic job well done. #letsdig18
Turned out nicely. The owner should be very happy with the results. Those little jobs are appreciated after having to deal with a muddy mess for several days…..lol
Thanks for sharing this video Chris. Your voice is sounding better; are you over your cold or just treating symptoms more aggressively? In either case, I hope you are feeling better. Wishing you and your family a blessed Easter weekend and a gentle spring season. Peace brother.
Chris, there is a lot of difference between your early videos and the recent ones. One of your very early ones you started a camera set it on the ground and walked over to the excavator and took the tree down and walked back to shut off the camera. lol. Story time with Chris made for great videos. Good times.
How do you know it’s level? Is it from experience and you “just know” or is there some other way that you do it? Whatever it is, I’m always amazed at the quality of your workmanship!
I don't know what that material is you use for fill in that part of the country, but I wish I would have used it when they put up my building, or at least make them roll it in in layers. I let it sit for a year and it still settled about half an inch across the length. Just enough to give me a tiny crack and break the electrical box tabs on one end.
Another job well done! I know years of experience and the tracks of the skid steer, both help when judging the grade, to find level. Would a cheap builders level, hot glued into the cab, help confirm what your eye is telling you.? As always Massive Respect from Aotearoa, New Zealand. 😀👍💙💛
It can help until experience is gained. But far from being very accurate with such a short level. Ive put a sleeve on the bucket to hold a 2x2 square tube that will mount a laser receiver on. Find grade, set receiver to height and grade away.
You sure can SHAKE a mean bucket on that skid steer, Chris! 🧂😉 One question... do many of your clients know they hired the COMBINATION best equipment/excavator operator, and FAMOUS RUclips video STAR ...in the country? Inquiring minds... and all that 🐃. 😁

as a guy who did this kind of work for over 40 yrs, you do great work, love to watch
Dry dirt and a garage pad. Haven’t seen that in awhile!! Quick and fast!! Bring on the next project. Time to go and play in the mud!
Chris is probably goin’ through withdrawals….
Nice bread and butter job done - neat and tidy completed to plan. Good to see the trees and grass green again - days are getting warmer too..
Went to see my 3 month old granddaughter that my daughter is adopting today. An LD video when I get home to wind down made today a win. 👶🚧
Enjoy the grandma life, they're worth every minute
I love, love, LOVE all your videos! Cant wait for the next one! I never dreamed about operating heavy equipment, but now I wish I could!!!

Fantastic new project. It’s awesome to see the pre site and the whole process.
Good to see Uncle John. Hardly ever see him on LD18 video any more.

Chris is see uncle John is with you today very nice to see you two work together.
A nice change in pace today Chris, absolutely nothing like a new garage project,
I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos you are a very great operator

Not quite 'perma frost' . . . . you have to head a ways farther north to get that! 🙂

Here in Ontario they have half load limits on all but the main roads until usually the 1st of May.
Small little job and turned out all right. Good stuff. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦

You sure do make it look easy, great job.
Quick and easy breezy. Good job.
Might need to bring in the 220. Those trees look like they are going to put up a fight. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing!

Wow project done all in 1 video, cool! Nice job Chris!
Turned out nicely. The owner should be very happy with the results. Those little jobs are appreciated after having to deal with a muddy mess for several days…..lol
Looks great Chris👍👍👍
“What’s a chainsaw, dad?” “ That’s a thing they used in the olden days before MR Chris showed us how to take trees apart with an excavator “
😂🤣 so true 🤣😂
Skid steer. Excavator. Doesn't matter what he uses. Kinda like the expression, every tool is a hammer 😆 Chris is top notch for sure.
Looks good Chris.
Chris great quick job! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
The weather must be warming up, John is wearing shorts! And very good looking results. The pad that is, not the shorts.
Have a happy Easter to you and your family Chris
Brilliant job 🎉🎉
Looking forward to seeing the new place
This is how it’s done. Great content and professionalism. You sleep well I’m sure !
Great pad project, slick and clean.
I see a on-road dump truck in Chris's future you could keep it busy you do fine work too I might add.
I would have put in a floor drain with that fall to the woods there. Come in handy for inside washing in the winter
Hey Mike, I suppose they can only do what the home owner or contractor tells them to do. :)
@@dansbrown1313 Well SURE!!! 😁
Alot of areas they are against code and not allowed.
Nice clean job Chris

If possible when you have the chance can you make a tips/tricks/advice video for newer dozer operators?
Hey Chris, is that screenings that you’re using for the fill?
A little machine and a big clean up
SALUDOS CHRIS, ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS. G.B.Y.
Is that stone dust? Or does it have a bigger gravel mixed in it?
What is the weight for that smooth drum roller with the vibration ?
That was fun
