A magnificent intoxicating smell. Because of your review and other connoisseurs revues, I bought it blindly. And what a treasure. Very much worth the price. Exactly the kind of scent I cherish. It blends with the skin. Highly recommended for those who like this kind of oriental, dark and sweet smell. 10!

Ordered the original piece from Fumerie and got a sample of this. Remarkable! I know it's not a summer piece, but the dry spices and dry incense resin make it incredible. One spray is all ya need
Nice review! I ordered this as part of a sample pack, and did the same thing, compared with L'Air du Desert Marocain. Both are wonderful and powerful, and this one is more so. For my first bottle, I will go with L'Air first, but wouldn't mind owning and using this one as well.

L'air Du Desert Marocain is quite frankly one of the best fragrances I've ever smelled. I need to get my hands on a sample of this new release. As you said it sounds like people who love LDDM will love this one too.

I dont have 02 of andy tauer, but I tried a sample of this one and I didn't like it that much may he cos I smelled many samples at a time but after that I tried it separately and I really fell in love with this fragrance and very impressed with its ingredients, one of my favorites now .
Longevity is incredible.

I'd say Au Coeur Du Desert smells like a longer lasting drydown of L'Air du Desert. AUDD doesn't have the loud, spicy, and slightly sweet initial blast of LADD but goes straight to the drydown.
Yep I got the exact same. Its the drydown amped up because of the extrait. I want to order it even though I havr the LDDM

I have a request, I look over the videos and Nobody review John Varvatos Oud which it's really nice EDP and not expensive at all only at Stores. JV also release two more which are the Rebel's. Marocain 02 is just ... intoxicating. Story about desert etc I don't get, never been in one :) but the smell so good
Coeur is amped up 02. Richer with parfum depth but the Marocain DNA is spot on! So similar but there's a difference that having them both is no mistake.

Excellent review. I would amend the "Brother" reference to identical twins! It's slightly less sweet and slightly less complex but that's about it.
For those who can only buy one, the Original LDDM is better. If you own either one, I think you would be disappointed that you had spent $ on its twin.
i smelt his moroccan desert air and it smelt like my lemon and lime bleach toilet cleaner but more sophisticated

Trying to decide between the 2, I do have both samples and still torn. When I first sampled lddm, i was head over heals, omg, have to have it nowwwww. Then I got the sample the Coeur. How is the performance of the original?
I don’t think I need both as they are so similar, which one would you recommend for a casual every day wear?

Hey bro what are the notes of this frag? Can't see any note on fragrantica.. i do lobe l'air du desert marrocain but just 2 nuch coriander and caraway it's the only minus point for me
I'm sure it has a lot of the same notes as the original, but I don't think the notes of this one were ever shared.

Just thd last question plz : i do own spicebomb extreme and i do love it but what's weird is that i dont knoe from where comes the sweetness it has just 5 notes 1 tobacco 2 vanilla 3 black pepper 4 caraway 5 lavender i think something is not right on fragrantica cuz i do smell the amber accord !
Based on your review of l'Air du désert Marocain, I've ordered a FREE sample (yep, over here in Belgium we only need to pay for shipping when using the sampling service of Parfuma in Antwerp, Belgium). I found the top notes to be very aggresive and loud. Yes, a very original composition -although I'm surely not the expert you are-, at least something I didn't smell before, but to me the desert doesn't immediately evoke the rather sweet base in the dry down after an hour or so, which to me made it more of unisex, rather than strong masculine. May'be it's the sample I received, but after two hours or so it surely didn't smell that potent anymore and stuck more close to the skin. Overall, I think l'Air du Désert Marocain is overrated, because orginality doesn't also mean it's appealing. However, yes it's layered, more complex than most scents out there and surely more potent than most generic fragrances out there. However, the high price tag and the fact that all Tauer perfumes are packaged very similarly, make s me rate it only 7 / 10.

Blind bought this and it’s horrible. It smells identical to the smoke that comes off when soldering using flux ☹️
I got a sample the day it was released. I was dissapointed, sorry to say. WAAAAY to strong (for me) and too masculine for my taste. My LDDM's sprayer smells like "Au Coeur" if I haven't used it in awhile. Can't win them all, I suppose😱
