I agree david, I dont WANT ANOTHER AARON GLENN!!! I want a DC that makes proper NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS WHEN THE SCHEME STARTS TO FAIL!!! and David, You took the Words right out of my mouth when you talk about offensive coordinator!!!
If you think its that easy to replace what was working on defense in the first 5 weeks then you don’t know ball because we were playing top 5 defense without injuries
97.1 doesn't want to meet it. All they say is golf ball. Golf ball Gaul's fault. No Ben Johnson called a s***** game. Let's be honest third one. The runner down a field like there's nobody there besides the goal line and we're gonna throw the ball, but nobody in the backfield, cause it's like changing the whole game. I'm glad he's gone. Let's see what he does without jamare Gibbs? Jamieson Williams Sam laporta Jared Goff Player.s make coaches coaches don't make players.
@@BlackRob1111To me, I thought Jared Goff was not. Happy. And now we know that Was the reason why Has ben said I heard him say it. ' I'm focused all the way another lie. Sorry, Ben, I have no use for you. No more.
Bullshit. They put up 31 points with 5 turnovers. Goff was fantastic on the day, except for the 4 turnovers, so Goff was just Ok. Wasn't his best game, wasn't his worst. The defense was the bigger problem. Washington did whatever they wanted to all game long, with nearly no resistance. Goff probably felt like he had to do too much and made some mistakes. Also, Washington made a couple great plays on 2 of those interceptions, and on his fumble, ARSB fell down, and Glasgow blew his block. Not making excuses, but Goff played great outside of those turnover plays that weren't 100% directly on Goff. The Williams interception, yeah that was bad. Running man defense with your 2nd and 6th cornerbacks without adjusting into anything else wasn't great. But FFS, most of his impact players are hurt, what's he supposed to do.
David you do a good job of telling it like it is with no fluff, but you also keep that positive attitude instead of crying about everything and being a downer. Appreciate it 💪🦁
Great points as always David imo no great coaches without great players and we have a great coach DC and great players who will be ready to climb that mountain again Go Lions!!!
Well said David thank you so much for this because it makes a lot of sense because we have to realize we have the best team in the league with our healthy players so I’m not worried about next year because that’s definitely going to be our year because the third time is always a charm let’s go Lions 💯💪🏽🏈
I like that both BJ and AG left we were becoming stagnant. Credit to AG for being able to salvage a defense for 4 years. New guys will come in and amplify the grit. Talent is here we need a new scheme and a refreshing visionary behind both systems
That's where I'm at now too Don't get me wrong I love the lions and I'm a big fan but with that said I've been watching them for a very long time over 30 years now been watching them but I'm also a REALIST. You know sometimes people get mad when it's like the start of the second quarter and I'm like they better start picking it up or they're done and people think I'm being negative but I'm not I can see the game and how it's going just like with the commanders game we were 7 minutes into the first quarter and one of the comments I passed was " this looks identical almost to the bills game " The way we were playing the way the opposing team was playing how their quarterback was I knew just by watching that we were going to lose that game. And then coming in after halftime after yet another interception I knew that pretty much sealed fate. And I agree also I'm at a point I don't care what we do in the regular season I want a super bowl I mean I don't know if they need to just break down and pay the money and hire the best of the best or what. And I'll be there rooting them out next season as always. GO LIONS!!!
It will happen when it's meant to happen. Not on our schedule. In the meantime time you can watch and support your team or be a downer and bring everyone down including the team. Thats the way i see it 🤷♀️
The three biggest non playing assets we had this year did jot include Johnson and Glenn. They were Sheila, Brad and Dan. It’s a well run organisation that recruits well, has a strong culture and does everything it can to deliver success. And you get the sense that those three are there for the long term.
It’s good thing both Ben and Glenn are gone because now new guys can come in and give their own spin on things and you never want to become predictable and figured out especially in the NFL.
Bendedict Johnson; eheh maybe a bit harsh; but I liked it; really funny. Shiote sandwich; interesting; I had always heard it as the more bread you have the less shiote you have to eat. Doesnt matter to me that those coaches left; we still have not won anything; did they get us a superbowl; no still decades of no superbowl appearance. I believe in our head coach; I know he will find us the right guys.
We wouldn't have won a SB anyway if it's any consolation. With Amik, BB and Iffy after all the other injuries there's no way we beat the Bills, Eagles or KC. We would have walked into a shootout with no weapon. Recipe for disaster
People talking like losing AG was a tremendous blow to the lions....if mcdc wasn't friends with Glenn...he would've been gone after the NFC championship game last year
Totally agree , BJ was made in Detroit, that’s not a bad thing. But BJ going to Chicago is controversial no matter what ! All I got to say is that 2 , like our Sun God said ! I’m gonna F you up ! Bj said the same and added , I got to beat the best to beat the best , that I respect, BJ showed and knows to respect us and we know BJ , he’s made in Detroit! So what we gonna do ?
If I was Dan Campbell my call would be to Chucky! Gruden would push the offense over the top and take Goff to that next level. Chucky has paid his dues and deserves a second chance.
They're going to get quite the initiation whoever we get for both main replacements......we're going to have probably one of the most overloaded 1st place schedules in NFL history, especially on the road (Philadelphia, Washington, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Los Angeles Rams, Chicago, Green Bay & Minnesota)......only 1 of those teams had a losing record this now past season......they do go a bit easier record-wise at Ford Field......besides Chicago, Green Bay & Minnesota, it's the New York Giants, Dallas (FINALLY!!!), Pittsburgh, Cleveland & Tampa Bay......barring none of them going into another struggle mode by the time the Lions play them, 15-2 will be a challenge to repeat......hope we do land the right fits for those coordinator spots......
Upgrades incoming. Players AND coaches. The players are still going to play football no matter who are the co-ordinators. Its a year of experience AND an opportunity to get better people in the equation to equate a championship or superbowl. This past equation with all the injuries did not work... But fate works its own magic. ...Still not sold on BJ being a good head coach.
Here is your problem with Hutchinson. He prevents the team from running a 34. He has no role in it. So they need to keep the 43 and build the scheme to what AG was to assure he doesn’t lose his impact. Signing Alim to a monster deal basically assures any DC will run 4 man fronts. Which means they’ll be seeking a heavier edge opposite Hutchinson and leaning heavily on him again. It’s why Jacksonville passed. Walker would allow the team to flex their front. Instead they’re stuck with the worst scheme in football. 43 with a dominant blindside rusher. It limits everything. No rush LBs, an edge setter at the other DE. But hey. Hutchinson might get 5 sacks in a game!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wish Glenn had left 3 years ago. Bend but don't break defensive strategy is a terrible way to play defense. No one likes to watch a team march 80-90 yards down the field before we make a stand to let the other team get atleast a field goal. I also bet some of the coordinators still in the playoffs would jump at the opportunity to coach Detroits talent when their team is done playing.
true, but many Americans' lives rotate around sports. Even into adulthood, their whole essence and identity is "sports" ( which is ridiculous ) because they have no other hobby or interests or anything to occupy their time.
what my point was we should not be losing sleep over this. I have seen year players they just play receive their checks at then end of every game and we either clap or boo them. We just have to stop our anxiety up to the stadium and not be overly serious as thy only provide us entertainment but for journalists cameraman it is their livelihood but for us ordinary people it is still entertainment
@ this is true. They pretend to be "sad", but they go home to their families and relax for the off-season with millions in their accounts to live just fine. It's all entertainment folks.

As much as I will miss them I agree. We need new faces and new way out. I am absolutely optimistic for our future of Lion. Go Lions!
If you think its that easy to replace what was working on defense in the first 5 weeks then you don’t know ball because we were playing top 5 defense without injuries
Ben and Goff made each other that’s facts so stop saying one guy made the other just not true
Benedict Johnson already knew he was leaving, he was checked-out of that game and aided in our losing.
Yeah him and he quarterback were totally checked out I agree with you

Finished!
David you do a good job of telling it like it is with no fluff, but you also keep that positive attitude instead of crying about everything and being a downer. Appreciate it 💪🦁
I wasnt worried and aint worried. We got good staff, Head Coach and players. We are in our prime. We are a a reckoning to deal with
Great points as always David imo no great coaches without great players and we have a great coach DC and great players who will be ready to climb that mountain again Go Lions!!!

Goff hater detected
Just a reminder Goff has the 3rd highest scored NFL game in HISTORY btw vs the chiefs
Odd comment you seem a little defensive about Goff. They didnt even mention him😂@@xer0Hack
