im in love with pink inks and i like to use multiple complimentary tones of pink in different blocks of text on the same page spread. i love the way it looks.
Oh this is lovely! It can be surprisingly hard to find a nice muted pink. For me- I journal and do entirely too many handwriting worksheets since I'm trying to have better handwriting for all these pretty inks.
I love this sort of color because I find it very easy to read. I'm a writer and I draft i fountain pen because they keep up with my brain. I change colors each day so that it is easy to see what I wrote each day and find what I need to when it's time to edit. I really cuss out past-me when I wrote something with a Sailor multishader or something and now I need to actually READ IT. What is your blue and pink mottled pen you had in this video? That's quite attractive.
What a lovely ink! I use just about all colors of ink in my journal, planners and workbooks. Since I am a consultant and use "workbooks" every day which no one else sees, I can use whatever color I want. Generally, I use pinks mostly for accentuating information I need for my final reports to my clients. I also use orange and yellows for that as well. Many times, when I am out in the field, I will use various colors to color code what I am finding in my field research. It helps when I write those final reports. But for personal use, I use whatever I have inked in my weekly 10 fountain pens. Oh, and I only use fountain pens. With osteoarthritis and RA in hands and wrists, other types of pens are just too painful to use. Besides, who doesn't like fountain pens?!?!
I also *almost* exclusively use fountain pens when I'm taking notes in the field, but it's rainy enough here (and when I'm in the field, I'm often in a literal field, or at least outdoors) that I also carry pens that are a little more reliable in the rain. Ballpoints, or pencils, I guess 🙂 I keep reading about people color coding when they write, and I can't imagine myself actually doing that unless I'm re-copying my notes later, but I really wish that I could!
I switch between cool colors and warm colors in my pens I use for Bullet Journaling. A dark pink like that would definitely fit in my rotation with the warm colors. I don't like red or pastel pink. All other shades of red are open for use though.
I'm a sucker for a pink ink. I've also decided that I'm going to be using the inks I have from your line to do my holiday cards! So thank you for that! Can't wait to see you again tomorrow! Take care.
I like this ink colour. This is good. I use this type of colour to highlight a portion of my prescription. Nice video. Waiting for your next video. Keep it up 👍
@ I think red Inks are always a bit tricky to work with, so I prefer using them for art instead of writing. They feel nicer when you layer them or even dilute them with water! I’ve got a video somewhere in my shorts on day one, where I painted with the Supergiant ink, and it has a really pink undertone. Definetly worth experimenting with, reds and greens are always interesting I find
Ngl pink is one of my favorite colors and this ink looks really lovely. I’d definitely journal with it, or even draw/doodle (badly I’m sorry to say). Thank you for the wonderful video!!!
I used to love to draw when I was a kid... really, up until I was in middle school and then rarely in high school... and then I pretty much just stopped, except for occasionally for my videos here 🙂 I should make a point of painting and drawing more. I always enjoy it.
I can see it being used in artwork, but for writing, not so much. It is a personal preference. Supergiant is so far the best ink revealed on this calendar.
Very romantic. Nice shading. I do like pink ink, but have consistency issues writing with the really light inks 🙁. This looks just dark enough not to have this issue.
I think I also like all the colors... but there are definitely some that I just don't use very much for writing. Yellows and pinks, mostly... even pinks that I really love in the Yama Budo range.
They do look very similar! Luckily, the watercolors are made with pigments, as you say... so they're much more light-fast and durable than the dyes that these inks are made of.
Pink ink is a weird like for me. In everything else, I really dislike it. I didn’t use pink ink for most of my life. Then my husband bought me the rainbow pack of Platinum cartridges as a stocking stuffer several years ago and I took a chance on the pink. Mind blown. Gold sheen, excellent behavior, changed my mind completely. I still won’t wear it or decorate with it, but now I like pink ink. I just write with it like I do with the other colors.
It only makes sense to swatch on any paper *if you also write on it* . If you write on Rhodia, swatch on Rhodia. If you write on Tomoe River... etc. The whole point of swatching is to know how an ink will look on the paper that you're using. That said, Iroful is also a good indicator of how an ink will look on Cosmo Air Light, Tomoe River, and Regalia (and similar coated papers). There's no "general" 1-10 rating 🙂
I color code my journal, using different colors to write about different subjects. And yes pink is one of the colors I use.
Color coding definitely makes sense.

I appreciate that you showed us a photo of the actual rose nebula……
This one reminds me of Noodler's Black Swan in Australian Roses. Pretty, nice shading.

That is an ASA pen that I'll be showing people in greater detail in a future video 🙂

Ah ha! That sounds like a good idea. 🙂
I love that their inks are not identical to inks from other companies! I love using my inks for drawing😆
This one is really beautiful, I would totally use it as my february go to ink. But that Arizona Sky...stealing my heart every single time !
Yes, that Arizona sky is wonderful 🙂 It's an exclusive from Pen Chalet. February ink... that makes sense!
I loved this ink! It layers really nicely, and looks great with both brush, and glass pen!
Ahh, good! I haven't done much with it, but I'm glad to hear that it's working well for you.

@ I figured you started drawing when you were young. You’re very good at it!! It is so hard to find the time, though. Life is so busy

I write my poetry in a journal and I use every colour including pinks and reds
Ah ha! That sounds like a perfect use for it 🙂
I like a dusty pink…then again, I like all the colors. 🤷🏼♂️

This ink makes me think of the watercolor pigments Quinacridone Rose or Q. Red. I think they're both made with PV19

Pink not one of my go to colors period. But yes I can't see it being used in someone's art
How do you suggest iroful to swatch inks on a scale of 1-10 ( 10 being best) ?
