I really don’t know how feel about your hunt, knowing what that tag cost to get. Or what the outfitter cost. Your hunting one of the best unit in NM. And knowing that you will probably get that tag again next year. I’m a nonresident and probably want ever draw that tag. Something about money , might get you a tag but it want get you bull. Not even a 4 point in the Gila
In reality, about 40% of our tags go to non residents.. hard to believe right? Well, 10% are allocated to non residents in the draw. Then you have all the land owner tags that get sold,(mostly to non residents) then the auctioned tags. So if all the tags are put into one big pool. Then in reality, about 40 % of tags go to non residents. Just food for thought !!!!!

How much are you paying to get a tag from an outfitter or landowner. Because I know you aren’t drawing a tag every year with nearly impossible odds?
