In this Vietnam vlog, we take an incredible motorbike vegetarian food tour with Saigon Adventures. Weaving through the wild street traffic of Saigon, we hold on tight to the back of our motorbikes taking in the vibrant sights, smells and sounds.
With each stop, we enjoy delicious Vietnamese food like bahn mi, bahn xeo, and more! We truly loved this tour because it gave us the opportunity to get to know some locals, try their amazing food and get around the way they do - on two wheels!
If you’re nervous about riding a motorbike in Ho Chi Minh City, don’t be! (easier said than done)! Our guides were total pros and we had a blast watching the city go by as we rode along for the ride. Looks like you guys had an amazing time in Saigon and all of the food looked SOO GOOD, our fav is always the yummmy banh xeo! Great Video 💜
It was a total blast! Jordan had the best time editing this one. Thank you for watching, friends! ♥️
I miss riding scooter in VN. I missed the joyous feeling of my girlfriend (my wife now) snuggled behind me & we'd talk and laugh. I miss having our son in front of me looking up at me to hear my confirmation of what he just said. I miss our suddenly smelling something delicious and just ride up the sidewalk and park our scooter to go in and get something freshly cooked at a great price and enjoyed the meal while watching people go by.
What a nice memory of Vietnam in your mind
then you should watch my videos, you'll love all the Vietnamese moments
Loved it!! Definitely going to watch it again (and again) with my wife:) Saigon captured my attention and never let me go!! Love that you included so much footage of riding around the city!! I personally enjoy seeing everything you pass by. I was captivated everywhere I went on a motorbike. Loved reliving it .As always, thank you guys for sharing your adventures. I look forward to your next video post:)))))
Yay, so glad you enjoyed the Saigon video and that it brought back good memories! We loved our time there and could watch the streets for hours. So vibrant and entertaining. And the food! Delicious 🤤 thanks for watching!
You all looked so natural on the back of the bikes. I'd be freaking out. Got to have phenomenal peripheral vision to maneuver like they do. Wow.
Haha! We loved every second of it. I enjoyed editing this video to rewatch all of the motorbikes on the streets and action in general. Fun times!
I remember driving a motorbike in Ho Chi Minh. So crazy and nerve wracking but so much fun!
Even for a motorbike rookie like me!!
Haha! It’s such a fun adrenaline rush. Loved every second of it!
Could not help but be impressed at how clean the city is. Immaculate !
Agreed! HCMC / Saigon was surprisingly clean. It’s definitely hectic and vibrant, but has a lot going for it. We loved our time there. Thanks again for watching!
Love your sarcasm ..
:-)
Yeah I love my city though I haven’t gone there in 2 years. Things changed so much. Years ago, the streets were so dirty, thanks to continuous growth of the economy , streets are like this now which is impressive.
I hope to be back there soon✌️
Well I’m happy to hear that , very happy because I’ve lived here for 18 years and it’s the first time ever I’ve heard that . Let’s hope it stays that way .
@@KeepGoingPlaces lol...good one
Loveeeee this video ❤️❤️❤️❤️ the food looks amazing!! Definitely something I’ll look into when I finally get the chance to go back to vietnam 🇻🇳
Love the background music when you on the bike .. fits well 😎
Thanks, that’s all Ashley with the music 🎵 Glad you enjoyed it!
What a great video of organized chaos motor ride thru HCMC and all the cool places. The guides are cool too.
Love Banh Mi and Banh Xeo ...my mouth was watering watching your food video 😋 🥘 🥖
Yay! 😋 We loved the Banh Mi, Banh Xeo and sugar cane drink! That sizzling sound and scraping of the Banh Xeo gets us every time - so good! Thank you for watching
You two are great, thanks for the fun from Saigon
Great video! All the food you had were my favorites except for the fried egg plate and eggs in the Banh Mi. Definitely not Vegan so it wasn't truly a Vegan food tour like I thought it was going to be. But very nice to see HCMC while you were on the motor bikes, looks fun. I hope you all a safe and wonderful visit in 🇻🇳. I also hope you go Vegan. I've been Vegan 8 years. It's the best decision I've ever made.
Yess! You went to such good places. And so lucky had my favorite foods. Banh Xeo, Sugar Cane juice, turnip cake....
Thanks so much! We had a great time and the food was awesome! 😋
Nice video! Had to laugh though around the 4'15 mark when the drivers broke a major traffic rule at the roundabout lol!
Beautiful Saigon form Thailand 🤗
thanks for calling the city with its real name Saigon -not the foreign name ho chiminh,
Hey. Check out my Vietnamese videos too if you have time.
Love the tour, food looks delicious, when I go to Saigon again I will do the tour as suggested
We travel, some of us forever, to seek other states, other lives, other souls

@@FoodOscar TOTALLY DID ! OH MY GOSH I LOVED IT, KEEP UP YOUR WORK !
Always enjoy watching your videos ! you guys speaks so clearly, especially Ashley, just love the way you speak with the added hand and facial expressions, better than all the actors in Friends (The TV comedy).
After our first lockdown in England last year, my wife and I with a few friends travelled to North Wales for a break, discovered your video to North Wales on returning home and saw all the places you went to exactly match ours then
decided to watch your videos from the beginning, that also revealed places we've been to in Europe, Scandinavia and the Baltics, bringing back lots of fond memories.
We've only visited Da Nang, Hue and Hoi An in Vietnam, my wife asked am I brave enough to ride in the Saigon, sorry Ho Chi Minh City traffic, I think I would given the opportunity knowing on my first week of passing my driving test, I drove into London challenging all those Black cabs in Trafalgar Square with no fear. I hope in the future to see you in a Hong Kong (my home town) video when this pandemic is over !
Stay safe !
In case you're in the mood for Vietnamese food again someday but don't want to travel half the globe for it, virtually all the dishes you tried (and more) could be found in Southern California. Bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwich with cold cuts), bánh xèo (the "pancake" dish), bún (the vermicelli noodles), and even nước mía (fresh pressed sugarcane juice) are available in CA, and, yes, even their vegetarian versions. The insane experience of riding motorbikes like music notes in a chaotic symphony, however, is unique to my birthplace!
Thank you your guys. Drive safe.
From bottom of my heart, I can do "Banh Xeo, Banh Mi" in any day, any time, any minute.
HI guys, are you coming back to the city again, I remembered your post not too long ago. Enjoy your trip, Cheers :)
We hope to visit Vietnam 🇻🇳 again late this year! Thank you for following our travel adventures!
I’m also planning on a trip back to Vietnam in late September and early October if all things go well 😁
Great video 👍💕 loved. Thank you, best wishes to you both. 💐
Thank you so much for watching! ☺️
holy cow! I just got a flashback. I have been in Bánh Xèo Ngọc Sơn too. great place for banh xeo.

You should try the local fruits like jackfruit, mango streams mangoes vú sữa..... and many more

The sugar cane juice is one of the staple drinks in Vietnam. I believe it is called nuc mia. I am also glad you guys got a chance to try Banh ‘Xeon’, it was called as the sound it makes when you pour the pancake flour onto the wok. Since you guys are Vegetarian, banh Xeo can be made without meat by substitute the shrimps/pork with fried tofu, sprouts etc... lastly, you can’t go wrong with Banh Mi, another staple food that is so simple to make, yet delicious. The pickles and the cilantro are what what make Banh Mi tasted so good.
Thank you for the great info and for watching! We LOVED the food and drink so much. Can’t wait to visit Vietnam again one day.
nice video. thank you, thank review VietNam.
Welcom HCM, thank so much
Miss my Saigon pretty much. Thanks both hope you had great time in Saigon.

@@FoodOscar will do
I think with 45$ you can try a lot of street food in Saigon. Just step out of your room you can find them everywhere. Enjoy your trip in Vietnam!!
So true! Saigon street food is very affordable (and delicious)! Thank you for watching 😊
But for vegetarian food, it's quite difficult to find a good one. I think they're right to choose a food tour, they also had people guide them.
@@ingang8817 agree with you. It’s convenient and seems to be a good choice if they don’t want to have any risks
The sad thing about Vietnam is too much trash on the streets and in areas where they sell food. The Vietnamese people have no idea of what cleanliness and sanitary mean.
give it a try. Buddha Chay, Nguyễn Chí Thanh, Phường 9 (Quận 5), District 5
You are so beautiful Ashley. Great couple
Welcome to Saigon, you shoud try “Cơm Tấm”, “Hủ Tíu Nam Vang”, milk coffee
Welcome to my city, thanks youuuu
Thank you! ☺️
I have been binge watching you guys for a couple of weeks now, I finally caught up with this video, you had me dribbling all that food is vegan paradise for me. God I cannot wait to start travelling again I am stuck in London, there is a ban on travelling at the moment 😑 😫
Hi Leila! Thanks so much for watching, so glad you enjoy the videos! Totally understand - we can’t wait to get back out there too!
Definitely wanna check these places out.
Do it!
I am surely & proud saying that Vietnam is heaven for expat.
I am dying seeing all of the foods they ate.....Soooooo goooood....
I want to see your reaction upon seeing Landmark 81 near the Saigon Bridge, and also your reaction driving through Thu Thiem Tunnel.
In the description, although it's not uncommon for foreigners to spell "bahn mi", "bahn xeo", but the correct and official spelling in Vietnamese language is "banh mi", "banh xeo".
The scooter ride was scary, yet exhilarating. Their reaction time is way quicker than mine, that's for sure.
Haha! It was a great way to experience the motorbike traffic without having to risk it alone!
Hi - I noticed that the pop up date on your videos has the year of 2020.
Well done for not eating rubbish food and animals... Great videos too
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
as a matter of fact, "bahn mi" means sandwich with the traditional french baguette although it comes from "pain de mie" for sandwich loaf
Xin chào tôi là người Việt Nam
Hello Im people Vietnamse
Es ist sehr interessant 😍
Cheers from Saigon
Cheers!
Hey Ashkey you can put siracha sauce in the glass noodles @6:34 it can blend the taste
Nice vidieo ! 💜❤💜🌷
They even have pizzahut in Ho chi minh hahaha
They have a lot more than pizza hut lol. My channel has A TON OF FOOD in Vietnam
great time and great food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
When you eat the Bánh Mì and you will know why the McDonalds, Burger King is dying in Vietnam! It's so delicious and very fast to order it!
I wish your video had a Vietnamese title because I'm not good at English: 3
This covid 19 thing has taken down all the fun. Hopefully we all should soon get over covid 19 and start having fun with our pre-covid normal life.

Cheap food, cheap drinks and especially wifi are everywhere. Welcome everyone go to Vietnam
$45 USD? 😳 The four meals would of cost you no more than $5 USD each if you went by yourself. 🙈 Oh well at least you guys enjoyed it. 👌
Xàm.
Everything is very good for Ashly.
Can you guys visit Son Doong cave 😁
Delicious looking food, nice hosts but unfortunately rather a bike riding video, too little about food.
for now, you can check out my Vietnamese Food Videos to help haha
Ho Chi Minh is an epic city.
Agreed! Thanks for watching
HCM City or Saigon, don't just use HCM as it's rude. In Viet culture like most other East Asian cultures, you have to address elder or someone older than you with a title like Mr, Uncle, Grandpa, Auntie, Big Brother/Sister (anh/chi) not just their names. In case of HCMC, you should always use City to differentiate from the person. In Vietnamese, people have to include "thanh pho" which means city, and it's a mouthful so everyone uses "Sai Gon".
I appreciate your concern. I am clearly referring to the city. Thanks.
Need more dual languages, subtitles and also price, address animations to make ur video better
Việt Nam xin chào ❤
Wow amazing 👍
Fun time! We want to do the same!!!
Do it! So much fun!

Cool info. Thanx
Thanks for watching!
I’m scared for you guys on the motor bike trips....😁
We aren’t scared! ☺️ We’ve had practice all around the world.
OK các bạn đi chơi du lịch viet nam là zui đó
When riding a motorcycle, you should not keep your hands behind you, but place your hands on your knees. It will help you keep your balance better
maybe you're wrong, if you seat on the back, and you're tall, my advice to you is keep one of your hand behind, like Jordan in the video. You will keep your balance better!
Just watched your return and a year later. I subscribed a couple of months ago and look forward to joining you in past and future travels. Envious of your years project and will do the same in my next life😀. Good luck and take care😷. David and Jill, Alberta 🇨🇦
Did you guys have to quarantine for 2 weeks before having chance to go out?
Nope, this was filmed in March of 2020 before travel restrictions.
I love video
Thanks! ☺️
Love you all

🇻🇳 Vietnam ❤️🤩🤩👍
Bánh xèo is not any close to a pancake, it’s more closer to a crepe.
Beside that French ( crepe ) is influential for Viet Nam.
that's true. I also got a video about bánh xèo on my channel. Not pancake at all
How they called that yellow drink?
sugar cane juice. Very sweet and blend with ice. One of a staple drink when you come to Vietnam.
@@Nam9xz Thank you🙂

They used egg in two of the dishes at two different spots so not really a vegan tour at all but I enjoyed the video nonetheless.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yep, is was 50/50 vegan / vegetarian. Definitely worth it. Thanks for watching!
Maybe vegetarian 🤔
I mean if you're talking about the banh xeo and think it's made with egg--It's turmeric that gives the yellow color to the batter. There's no egg in Banh Xeo.
For the turnip cake, yes it comes with egg (:
@@Skater21Loverboyz Also the Banh Mi
@@ositofreitas they must have specifically chose it with the egg, typically you won’t have it. (:
😍
You look so happy when sample street food in Ho Chi Minh city. But why you always have vegetarian food? If you were not fussy eaters, your experience will be plenty.
