This man is a gifted teacher and I would highly recommend premium membership. I sacked my real life guitar teacher and got Brian, I'm saving a fortune and really learning now. Strongly disagreee re too much theory, this is precisely what you need to start pulling it all together, finding lightbulbs and moving to hardwiring the brain. It's a no-brainer, in fact.
there are so many good and gifted teachers on the net ....but with you I feel at home and comfortable. May you long and healthy live ..... Carl the Dane
It always helps to goo slow, 3 notes at a time. I’ve played for years but blues are new. My first rule is not to discourage the student. Talk slow, repetition. Thanks so much
That was awesome Brian. Thank you for sharing and teaching how to play it. I can’t get this out of my head, and keep watching the video over and over like my favourite tune. You are simply great.
Just really enjoy your slow blues on that guitar. Well just your slow blues in general. I enjoy guitar teaching. I just became a member and will get the additional lessons now for this lesson.
Extremely melodic with a lot of interestingly timed licks. Wonderful stuff. Sharing the thought pattern behind these licks and transitions is also hugely helpful. Kudos Brian!
Hi Brian, I really enjoyed this lesson. The song reminds me of Clapton's Key to the highway. Simple, very catchy, a lot of turnarounds . I wish you could do more like it, thanks 👍
Brian, nice tune. And I can clearly see my own progress. A year ago when I joined premium membership it took me weeks to understand and weeks to learn a tune. Now I understand in hours and leanr it in days -wow! You are a great teacher! Greetings from Germany!
mr Brian, I apologize about my bad english, i'm from a very, very distant country ,named Bulgaria.over 3 yeras i'm looking your clips,i'm totally self/learning and from relative ZERO(only 7-8 chords i was knowing) ,thanks to You, i dare to say that over 80% of my present skills( and they are no longer few)are thank to You,and of course very hard work :)but this compilation BLOWING ME up :) !!! be blassed,mr Brian, long life to you to enjoy and teach us,an ordinary people on a beauty and secrets of music :)
Such a great lesson there are riffs you can take away chromatic connecting chords use of minor and major pentatonic some theory what else can you ask for all packaged.in a sweet sounding blues you can play and learn
Excellent lesson as always. I am not a member yet. But I will be soon. I don’t learn his songs to learn songs. I learn the techniques and theory causing many light bulb moments
Thanks,Brian! Sounds great! I like these acoustic guitar pieces, because these days it's hard to play my electric. I only have a tiny practice amp right now, runs on batteries.... No space for a real amp (or money right now, lol!) Anyway, keep it up, and... More? 👍
Hi Brian, so great again, thank you so much! May I make one suggestion? With all the chord changes and licks in between I sometimes get lost, where I am in this 8 Bar chord progression (?). In this case especially in the 2nd part from bar 4 to 8. Not that I couldn't figure it out. However, for me it would be helpful you visualize the chord progression in the beginning and may come back to it from time to time during the lesson? Fair? Again, you are the best of all for me. Thank you so much. Alfred
Now THAT is a beautiful old girl! Wow, she is stunning and she sounds as mellow as a smooth drink - and I don't even drink! Ha ha. And of course, Brian, you nailed it again as always with a perfect and audience capturing composition. Never will know how you do it every week. All the best.
Would a Godin 5th ave with p90's work for this style? All i see is people playing jazz style. I play a Strat but im drown towards these hollow bodys as well.
