    This is so intuitive my bro. Takes the "mathematics" out of Polynomials. They immediately stop seeming mathematical. Any other intuitive applications?

      Did you mean 6 inches? The 6 is the x value for the maximum point. If you use a graphing calculator you can easily find this point by finding the maximum point. If you use a TI84 calculator you graph the function and then use the 2nd Function key and then Trace, and select Maximum.

    This dude used Geometry, Algebra and Pre-cal to solve this problem.
