When I first looked at the still clip of todays soap that comes with your notification, I was like, "Wow, that's some chunky ricing"...Soap shreds😂Such a beautiful bar!! CAN'T WAIT to get one🤗
I have a question about the heat transfer method. I have hard water, and have been adding citric acid to my lye water after it cools, this has really helped the soap scum my handmade soap makes. I had been adding it after it cooled, can I add it while it is still hot and I can still melt my hard oils with the hot lye water (this is the best way to do it, such a quicker process!) I was also wondering the same about sugar and sodium lactate in hot lye water. BEAUTIFUL soap!!!
I have no experience with using citric acid. You may have to join a soaping group and ask them. But for the sugar you would add it to your water and let it dissolve before you add your lye to it. And with sodium lactate just add it to your liquid oils. That’s what I did when I used it :)
so is the mixing container what you have the hard and soft oils in that you add the lye to for the heat transfer method? it looks WAY bigger than the pic lol....
Another fantastic Soap. Love all of your creations. I’m in the beginning of my journey but I love it. Where do you buy your mica and that huge jar of gold. If you don’t mind sharing 😍
My question isn't actually about making the soap, but about the clean up after. Do you wash up straight away, or wait for the batter to saponify? Do you hand wash, or use a dishwasher? I'm always left with a tiny film of oil on my jugs/utensils after I've washed them, is that normal? Thank you. And, as always, wonderful soap.
I wash right away. Either hand wash or dishwasher. I wipe them out first to get as much soap as I can out. After they wash I dry them with a paper towel and that removes that film that can still be on there. :)
No with the heat transfer method you would want your lye to be as hot as it can get so it would melt your oils. After it’s all melted it is usually around 90-100°f
I am so scared to even attempt trying to make a top on that large of a amount of soap. I would ruin it! How do you get so comfortable doing it? Once it looks bad it's bad . Your work is amazing!!!
I love how clean and neat you are when you’re making soaps. My OCD self is very calm when I watch your videos. Thank you for shearing. ❤️

Hi. Love this soap. Question: what's the best temperature for oils & lye,as to not accelerate, nice and fluid. Just curious.
You would want to stay around 80-90°F for bother :)

Thank you so much!! 💓
@@OpheliasSoapery Is that for the heat transfer method too? I'm so keen to try it one of these days. Tia x

Doing it for so many years. Started off small and worked my way into larger batches :)
Do you have your liquid oils and butters in the same container?
Yes. One less dish to wash 😂
@@OpheliasSoapery brilliant! I didn’t think you could do it that way. Your videos are so inspiring
I didn’t either! One day I was like. I wonder what would happen..
It worked great! I swear soap making is 99% experimenting 😂
How do you like that Loving spell FO? I have plans for it for my spring collection.
Amazing. Doesn’t accelerate or discolor. And the scent never fades. 👍🏻👍🏻💗💗
There’s another creator that uses NG Loving spell exclusively. She said it’s amazing
Got a lotion bar in this scent a year ago, are you still making lotion bars? Mines almost out :(
Yes! I will bring them back soon 🥰
