I suffered from environmental depression and always felt so much relief and freedom when I went on camping trips. That's how I discovered I am not a city girl, I dislike being in a city and needed to get back to a more basic living. I'm so glad your friend found herself when she ran from her situation. If you are unhappy with what's going on around you, go where your heart is calling you to go.
Amen!! I live in the country and always have but getting away from stuff and being tethered to a house is starting to wear on me. I go horse camping alot and find extreme freedom when camping.

When I visited a small town on the Oregon Coast in 1989, I actually did catch my breath because I realized THIS was where I've always needed to be😍. I listened to my heart, worked hard toward my goal, and I moved here 13 years later. So yes, I agree, "go where your heart is calling you to go," because personally I've never regretted it for a moment.
@@loriirons9503 I have a dear friend who used to spend his summers with his fellow retired cohorts and their horses at Tuolumne Meadows in the 1849'er Gold Rush Country of northern California. Horse camping "saved my life," he once told me.
I imagine a horse trailer is more heavy duty than a regular trailer, therefore should last a very long time. Interesting platform choice.

This woman is very likable. You can feel peace and relaxation in her soul. How wonderful that she got free. A great lifestyle too. She has some special additions that add extra joy to her life. Very happy for her.
That truck alone could pay for a house. Nice rig! I love what she did with the trailer too. ❤
That truck is at minimum 22 years old, it is a 7.3 powerstroke diesel made from the 90's on until they quit making them in 2002 thanks to the non stop EPA rules on emissions by our ever expanding government overlords. Best truck ever made.
She's got an outstanding truck that will last her for a long time. Most certainly worth whatever she paid for it.

Still I travel 6 mos of year with my two horses ...in the back too.

I love the smile. Reminds me of my kids when they were young. Youngest is now 56. I'm now 86 and living in a pull behind trailer and loving the freedom still. Great idea the diesel heater for the reasons she gave. Living on the cheap is my adventure. No intention of stopping any time soon.

Smart lady. Horse trailers are better than shoddy built RVs.. Good choice of power unit - better to have too much power - she can later go to larger trailer with NO worries. A lot of clever thoughts from this lady.

I love CJ, and her rig. Part time is working for me, while I still have responsibilities that keep me in a city. I find it interesting that her rig has evolved. I have noticed that the happiest people are those that have what they need, but maybe not what others need or think everyone needs. Beautiful person and beautiful rig.

She has definitely arrived. And saved herself! I have the same shower system since 2021 and it’s still cranking along. I fill my holding tank with fresh water with that shower system from 7 gallon bucket, work slick as anything. How are you go CJ! God bless you.

The best kind of off grid heater is a vented propane heater. They're larger but they're the best out there and a extremely dependable primary source of heat. I just wish they were smaller like the diesel heaters. You can usually pick them up pretty cheap used. And they don't produce any condensation because it's vented none of the fumes go inside.

My parents used to take me to the Catskill mountains every summer since I was a baby. Hiking in the mountains, swimming and boating in the Delaware river, camping out with the obligatory wieners on a campfire, watching the breath taking stellar display at night - I grew to love the sights, sounds, smells, and peace and quiet of being in nature. I always longed to recreate that idyllic time in my life but ike most people, as an adult I became trapped in the usual soul crushing shackles and obligations of urban life - bills, meaningless job, traffic, crime, noise, crowding, pollution, until finally now in the autumn of my life I feel the need to escape this prison that I've created while I'm still young enough to be self sufficient but unlike this woman I'm still not brave enough to break free. Maybe some day. Thanks for your inspiring videos Bob.

This was a really great video Bob. I love of course that this lady was able to go out to nature and heal her soul and re connect with how God intended us to live out in His creation! And lastly, she has the BEST set up this old cowgirl would love to have if I were living out there! A bulletproof 7.3 powerstroke F 450 Dually and a very well built older aluminum trailer which I believe is a Kiefer or a Featherlite, both great aluminum horse trailers. Well done!!
