In 1997 Till was asked about the meaning Tier lyrics. He answered:
"Animals like dogs or rats mate with each other, but there's no incest in that sense. That's nature. That's what this song is about, drawing the line between instinct and reason on the blackboard. I guess you are thinking of "Wo bist Du" (where are you). In this song the line is "Was bist Du" (What are you?).
What if this female turned into a series Killer after it. She kills them, who wants to have her, because they remember her, of her father. I am not so sure, if you ever get pass that. I got only "nearly" raped (I was fighting like a lion) and I still have times, when I get reminded of it (when I come across some articles, ...). Maybe because I made this guy so angry, after I could get off his grip and ran, that while I was running, he threatened (by shouting) me, with killing me.
I got verbally abused by both of my parents, I would not say, that with 42 I am completely over it. I still believe people more, who say that I am stupid and ugly, then when they say you are beautiful. When someone says something nice, I always think that he/she does it out of "fake kindness" rather than meaning it. Never forget how powerful words can be (for all to a child) and how you can mess up someone easily. My father was a drinker and narcissist, my mother "only" a narcissist.
I do not care if anyone believes me, but I know what happened behind closed doors. Thanks for your reaction and yes, I love this song, even if it sounds odd to some.
