They executed this scene so perfectly. As soon as santo padre rolls up you feel that eerie animosity in the air with the rest of the chapters standing on the bridge waiting for them. They don’t realize that santo padre is hit the worst with the border being shut down.
They realized it. They just didn’t care. And with the Gun Running Business a no go all the other Charters can do is rely on Santo Padre. That's why they tried to asert they're dominance over them

Micheal Irby is one hell of actor. I been following him since The Unit in 2006. Where he played Sgt Grey. A Delta Force operative. He was on taken series. All very good. If you want to watch more of Micheal Irby. I would suggest SEAL TEAM season 1-2. And the unit

I’m so glad I didn’t watch any of the sneak previews or anything, I didn’t want to spoil anything for myself. This was the hardest scene in the entire 2 episodes.

There’s an old saying, Never take the side with greed against the club.
They have been building it upon purpose is my guess? Think back to the first episode and scene with Bishop. Clearly the director wanted us to doubt his leadership skills so instead they made him like a more sloppy and weaker version of Clay from SOA. Later on finding out that Alverez is Bishop’s older family member, gave the affect that Bishop got all of this, new gang turf etc from the connection of having the creator of Mayans MC be as family. Then boom S3 Because Bishop comes out from the dark.. Perfect long term expense of a character buildup... We are seeing the Alverez bloodline kicking with Bish imo..
I love the building intensity of the music right before Bishop says no. He’s got major cojones for a small guy.

All we have are holes but so far Bishop development feels like he will be a better long term Prez... Clay will forever be a lame duck leader... His business handling is enough to show was not fit for a leadership role and his psycho behavior would be to risky to keep around the table/club. I know it’s to the same creator of SOA anymore but if they go the same route. The table will look drastically different either by the end of SE4 or mid way through SE5. I bring this up because the table has already changed since S1 and it feels like they have been hinting that the young bucks like the Rayes bros and their crew within the MC will be at the head of the table... How the vets take it is another story. I will be shock to see Bishop still standing by S5...

Also the way Alverez was subconsciously fidgeting with his Mayans MC ring earlier in the episode after walking Miguel to his car while leaving Dita's psychiatrist's office, while Galindo barked at Alverez to get the others together for a meeting. Watch, Alverez might initially do it on the down low, but there's no way he's not siding with and then leaving for the MC and his cousin Bishop again. Yes he's clearly pissed off at Bishop rn because of the internal power struggle that's building to a war with the other two Mayans Kings. But Mark my words Alverez's heart and loyalty is with the MC and his immediate family above ALL.

@@so14075 Yeah I’m on season two now it does get better. I don’t know if it’s better than SOA though, but it’s still new. A lot more can happen. I just don’t think Mayans can have great characters like Jaxx and Gemma, they were incredible. But who knows I might be surprised later on.
