  • In part 2 of our Train Mountain 2022 Triennial series, we pickup at the backshop as a Milwaukee Road Little Joe is rolled into the shop for some work. We then catch some rail action heading out of the main yard and join Jeff as he steams #7 out of the bays and heads for Panama Canal. Climb aboard and enjoy the rail action here on The Steam Channel!
While other sites make you pay to enjoy their Triennial coverage, our 4K series comprising over 8 hours of rail action will be offered completely free-to-view. Keep an eye out for coming installments as we get up close and personal with some sharp rail equipment on this beautiful railroad. In the coming weeks, we’ll also be publishing 5 director’s cut videos which will feature each days action in full from the triennial. These will range from approximately 40 minutes to 120 minutes in length each. Thanks for watching The Steam Channel!
We'd Like to thank our friends at Pacific Design Shops for making this series possible. John graciously transported our batteries and camera gear to the meet along with his train equipment.
We'd like to thank our RUclips & Facebook members and our Patreon patrons supporting our productions.

the hobby is generally referred to as "live steam" regardless of what type of power you're using.

Half the video is of a steam engine…the videos are shot chronologically throughout the day(s)… at 0800 nothing else was moving. As they progress in the morning/afternoon, more people showed up and fired up. With a railroad the size of Train Mountain, I wasn’t going to stand in place and film cold steel. There is plenty of steam coming and entire videos that are steam only.

My steam Shay is shown at 9:00. I like running in the morning, fewer folks out on the track and not as hot sitting behind a 300 degF backhead.
