Glad I'm not the only one who is doubtful of the idea that some corruption or financial crimes with a developer might be considered the real story here. This guy has been in legal trouble for years and suddenly it's a big deal? There are still assumptions being made about the whole story.
Assumption 1... "if this gets to Paxton, some of us are going down with him... get him OUTTA HERE !" *koff koff* Being born in Texas, and having actually lived there a few times decades after my expulsion from the womb, I am most embarrassed by that state and have considered a letter to the Gov to ask if I can be disavowed of my birthplace and join another. Yes, its illogical, but its a statement I'd love to make. Hell, I don't even like driving thru that state and I have to once every few years, and its tense. I used to hitchhike in the early 70s all over the country and have had some 'interesting' moments with hard core police... and when I was 17, hitching in Greenbay before a thruway booth a state cop pulled up. I had my birth cert only and he looked at it and in a pure texas twang said... "You born in texas?!?! Well, you'll be fine, just stay right here, son." He let me go and picked up the two girls hitching behind me. So, yeah, texas is that way. And cops are that way. And I did 911 and I know what cops can do... good and incredibly wonderful, and they both exist. But only one needs excuses and coverups.
Yeah, police have a terrifying ambiguity. ...A friend of mine does activisty stuff at the Tx state lege. They (friend is a they) says the legislature has gone fascist. They want to k1ll us LGBTQ folk.

I live in Texas. It didn't use to be this way until 2006 when the GOP took control of both houses and the governor's office. Laws that were put in place after reconstruction and state constitutional rights have been taken away. Lt. Gov. Patrick has received around $3 million in "denotations" from PACs that support Paxton. Looking at Patrick's history, Paxton is going to walk due to a "technical" issue. If this was 18 years ago, Paxton, Patrick and Abbott would have already been removed from office.

So, greetings from the future here in the small island nation of Middle Earth.
The fact that they turned on him over this means not only did they know about the grand jury, they think it will result in an indictment Paxton will then be convicted for. If Paxton was going to beat this they'd stand by him.
WHOA.....I just threw up a little in my mouth, there, when Beau implied that Republicans were showing signs of accountability!!
...........still feeling a little woozy from that one.........🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤧😵😵
I think I'm gonna need a few days to recover after that!!
Subterfuge early on led to theories of the governor's exposure in all this.
Wonder if that's why Abbott has been less noisy than usual.......
Thanks Beau for this information!

He’s been indicted since 2015 for securities fraud, so whatever this is must be special
Texas Democrats are willing to cross the aisle & assist 🌊💙
😁😂😂👍
Great advice!
hi

High?😊
Fabrizio ! GTSY 😀⚘️👋 !
"This assumption has never let me down" is the most glorious "I told you so" possible.
Thank you.
Evening!
First the Federalists now this?! 😳
This is why the Jan 6 hearings were so informative. We new the story but not the details.
Thank you Beau and Crew.
Nate Paul ruined 6th Street. Decades back when he bought up lots of RE & ran the longterm clubs out with jacked up rent. 1st time I ever heard his name was from a local musician.
I'd heard that it was his effort to have the state pay for the judgements against him that drew the line. That could be a lot of money that they want for their own corruption.
I’m surprised that Texas Republicans would even bat an eye at such a thing.
Glad I'm not the only one who is doubtful of the idea that some corruption or financial crimes with a developer might be considered the real story here. This guy has been in legal trouble for years and suddenly it's a big deal? There are still assumptions being made about the whole story.
The public not knowing the full extent of the crimes committed? Yeah that definitely makes sense.
It is a great idea to watch the deviants. The Elite Strike Force working for 45 deviated quite a bit and hoped it would pay off in the end.
Your ending was super!
I hope our young people understand that as well.
❤thanks for all you do
@TexasPaul might know more on this subject
He's pretty funny & bold
I assumed an indictment was coming. Just didn't know which crime they caught him with. Now we know!
Related thought: when you don't understand where someone is coming from, you cannot change their mind, because you don't know what their mind is. If what they are doing seems incomprehensible, you must first understand it better.
Same deal, different context.
Beau, I agree with the assumption that they know something we don’t with one exception
The current gop, they know things even they don’t know, hence the trouble they are in now.
If you are going to "remember the Alamo", then think of Ukraine as the Alamo and the Russians trying to destroy it.... Any Republican who is not totally for Ukraine is not only not a Republican, he/she is barely an American... Re Paxton...Nice analysis/evaluation.
Thank you for your work 😊😊
👋👍
Paul is a detail which doesn't change the high level analysis that remains, Paxton is a sacrificial goat, like Ruby and Oswald.

@@OutdoorLonghair very peaceful staying here by the air conditioner, thanks. The sun is shining today just before I had to buy a boat to go anywhere. Torrential rains everyday here lately.
Me: Can't imagine affording an attorney if I ever get into legal trouble.
Politicians: Have "legal teams."
Sigh.
You’re spot on Beau, I do the same and especially after Brexit 😂
Thanks Beau.
Yo bo...u da man👍🏼🌍💚🍀
Spot on Beau
Beau; someone has been removing blue barrels with gallon jugs of water left for migrates in Jim Hogg county in Texas. This is an AP story but thought I'd bring to your and everyone else's attention.
That's so inhumane. We have lost our humanity as a country. Jesus did not teach this. Sad.
There is no such thing as becoming "dependent on" or "addicted to" supplemental oxygen - everybody needs a constant supply of oxygen to live. If there is not enough oxygen in your bloodstream to supply your tissues and cells, then you need supplemental oxygen to keep your organs and tissues healthy.
Yes. Undoubtedly.
WOW JUST Wow. The political bomb shell is going to be extremely powerful.
Cheers from the Pacific West Coast of Canada
Sago Beau thanks again.
I always assume that, especially when I'm judging someone.
Thanks thanks
When doing analysis, it can be very helpful to enumerate all the assumptions you're making in preparing your analysis. That way, it's easier to revise your analysis when new information shows your assumptions to be incorrect.

Politics, the one time that "assume" doesn't mean " make an ass out of you and me". 😊
I wonder if how many folks will retire to “spend time with their families” - because they turned on Paxton….
The Letterhack has sent his offical invite. And I'd love for you to be on the "hotseat" for his drawing while speaking about whatever tickles your fancy...❤
Not sure how much you are into comic books - but I suspect you do have an appreciation for the creative process and the Humanities expressed through the Arts ✌🏼

"If you don't understand the decision, chances are you don't have all the information."
Whatever it is that we don't know must be pretty bad for Republicans to go after one of their own, especially in Texas
