I really want to believe that Underhill had the best intentions in commenting on that matter, but... idk. ALSO the worry on your face, I was like "It could seem very bad at this moment but this info is gonna give us one of the funniest moments between Malec".
10:40 MAN, I'll be lying if I didn't admit that I watch this clip every time it pops up as a YT recommendation. It's so hilarious watching Alec smiling as he gets the feeling and acknowledgment that the immortal being that is Magnus has gotten jealous over him. That gorgeous smile-it makes me go feral. I could probably quote this entire scene word by word

2. Why did you guys do this to me? To entertain ourselves because we love this show and want someone to share all of its emotional rollercoasters with us :)
3. Why did you make me watch this show? Again, because we love it with all of its heartbreaks
4. (Not a question but) "It's SICK and CRUEL and TWISTED" That's a great definition of 3B :D
5. "I'm gonna pretend that the last 10 seconds didn't happen and we left off on him being 'I love you'" We gaslighted ourselves to pretend the same thing for a week
6. "I swear to God that if anything bad happens to Malec in the next episode I will not be continuing" Why am I getting the feeling that this phrase is going to get repeated a couple of times before it stops being just a warning? Such a silly thought :D
7. "It'll be fun, you said, it'll be a great time, you said, you'll love it, you said. Do I look like I'm having a great time?" I mean.... right now? No... BUT IN OTHER EPISODES... It was FUN. This was the reason why I said in the Malec training scene that the writers knew what they were doing giving us that masterpiece only to make us regret everything later. They're so silly! :DDDDD

@@ryannrodkey5669 Yeah, it also shatters my heart that the pain was so unbearable that Magnus had to resort to speaking in his native language which he knows Alec doesn’t speak but he was in so much pain that it was the only language he could manage to speak in :(
it really is just painful to think about 😭
Ah, so it only gets worse from here :)
1. The first fact I wanted to share was the most heartbreaking. When Magnus falls, he starts screaming. He's screaming in his first language, which is Indonesian (although it is not modern Indonesian. realistically). He doesn't like talking in Indonesian, because it reminds him of his mother and step father. So he rarely does it. But he was in so much pain he started screaming in it. From what I have picked up from youtube comments and posts, he is screaming something along the lines of "my head hurts, please help me, make it stop." I do not speak Indonesian, so anyone who does, correct me if I am wrong- my sources are limited. But, as someone who speaks several languages, I can say that when I'm feeling very strong emotions, a lot of pain, or when I'm very tired, I switch languages, simply for comfort or because of confusion.
2. Heidi called that vampire "sweetheart," and you seemed rightfully confused, so here's a quick explanation- I don't think she meant anything by it. I call my friends "sweetheart, honey, love, darling," and generally don't mean much by it. It's just a love language for me, and I suppose a manipulation tactic for her.
3. In the books, the only people who lived in the institue were the heads, their family, and any shadowhunter orphans who need a home. The rest live around New York or surrounding states, and go to the institute for enclave meetings or missions only, so if Magnus ever wanted to stay at the Institute, he would totally be allowed, and not judged. Mainly because the only residents in TMI are the Lightwoods, Jace, and for a short while, Clary.
4. Okay okay, book Aline probably would have sparred with Clary in those circumstances, but the point is she DIDN'T. In fact, I don't think she ever really blamed Clary for what Jonathan did? Although again, it was Jace who was bounded to Jonathan in the books. I really, really like book!Aline (as you know, from several texts I have sent you). She's loyal, hot headed, and super underated. She's one of my favorite characters, and I think Jacky Lai did an incredible job potraying her. I adore her.
5. The way Maia killed Maureen/Heidi was the same way in the books! Except in the books, she teamed up with Lily Chen, Raphael's second in command to do it. It was Lily's plan, and Maia was "the weapon she wielded," so neither of them got in trouble, Lily got control of the clan, and Maureen was dead.
6. Alec's grin when Magnus was jealous omggggg

Of course you are 😂 as for Luke, he’s not gonna confess about anything to do with the shadow world lol they have shown time and time again that it’s not a place for mundanes, every time they find out something always horrible happens to them I.e. Simon and Ollie. As for Johnathan and the Rune, it goes both ways, Johnathan darker impulses can influence clary if she lets her guard down and clary’s hood nature also influences johnathan, all I’m gonna say on that 🤨 Going to Our Boys, Alecs Smile when he realized Magnus was jealous was the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen 😂 he was so happy. Now for the sad part at the end…. When Magnus collapses he’s in so much pain he reverted back to his native language, Indonesian. He was in so much distress he automatically switched back without even realizing, I remember reading somewhere that someone actually translated what he said and I think it was “please help, my head…it Hurts” 😭 Not gonna lie, the next couple episodes are gonna be really rough for you 😬 and won’t get better for awhile…….as for the Heidi situation, I knew you would love it lol she thought she was too clever but Maia definitely out maneuvered her 😂 the storyline only gets more crazier from here 😅

XDD I'm so sorry for laughing as much as I did at your rant at the end. Honestly, "Watch Shadowhunters, they said. It'll be fun, they said", as the heart of what you're saying, is a great summary of the show xD. But I was just dying at the end there lol, and I kept just going :)) throughout the reaction knowing what was coming xD. I'm so sorry, we just like to see you suffer.
First of all, MAIA SLAYYYS!!! I agree with Simon to a certain extent on the not becoming like her thing, but also, I am so freaking glad Heidi's dead xD. I think I might've cheered when watching live, I don't remember lol. And I'm glad Simon told us Jordan's okay :). Also, can we talk about how smart Maia was with the holy water? Slay so hard. Simon of course slayed too with coming up with the idea of talking to what's her face.
Okay, so like, obviously Clary's not in a great place lol. And we need to acknowledge it! But like. Aline xD. I love her but girl I don't think it proves much about Clary when she beat you up in response to you, yk, beating her up and insulting her. I know she's grieving Sebastian and wants to catch Jonathan, but I always thought that was a bit biased of her lol.
And poor Jace man xd. This episode is literally just him being worried about Clary

also, as for the clary/aline thing, I totally agree. it made me so mad that she was provoking her so badly and purposely hurting her just bc she knew it would hurt Jonathan. like that is not okay, even a little bit! 🩶
So about Clary and Johnathan, he's not making her do things through the rune. It's like they are on opposite sides of the spectrum and the rune is bringing them closer in either feelings or understanding each other. For Johnathan his "love" for her is growing which is why he basically wants to possess her and always wants to kiss her cause that's what he deems is love. As for Clary she gets lost in how he must feel and contemplates not wanting harm to befall him. That's why she suddenly switches so fast from wanting to rune off and then not being bothered by things she can't control. The rune is getting stronger

poor luke:( of course he can’t tell the police the truth it would put them in danger of the shadowworld, I hate that he’s sacrificing himself like this, he really is such a good person the scene with him and clary made me so sad
heidi is such a horrible person and so manipulative and constantly using the fact that she turned and went through that to justify her actions im tired
we can now see clarys rune does more than just connect her to jonathan it seems she’s becoming more like him as well, and now we know the rune is connecting them more and more and poor clary doesn’t want anything to do with him the only reason she let him go is because of the rune & jonathan is trying to make it seem like she loves him or something 🙄
poor raphael I get why izzy had to take him in but I truly believe raphael is a good person and will live a better life but I’m worried about him going into custody of the clave with whatever is going on there with downworlders

the way I was on cloud 9 and was immediately struck down by TERROR 😭 and the whole Raphael thing- I love Raphael but I do agree, he did a really bad thing so it makes sense, but it's still so sad 🩶
