    The more I learn about the Celtics and the City of Boston and how they treated Bill..I can't blame any Black player for not wanting to play in that city

      Not the Celtics the city. Red Auerbach and Bill Russell had a bond they trusted each other. Yes Boston had problems with race especially the busing of 74. Don't blame the Celtics.

      The Celtics were the first NBA to have a black player, the first to start five black players and the first to have a black coach. When black players were refused service in a Lexington restaurant, the entire team packed up and left. Boston in 2022 and not the Boston of 1970.

    Ryan used to be a fantastic writer, but about 20 years again changed drastically to an egotistical jerk.
