Come Dine With Me takes people who are experts in the art of giving the perfect dinner party and puts their skills to the test. All are great cooks and excellent hosts - but they're all very different. So, if one person's perfect dinner party is another person's evening from hell, how will our hosts cope with a whole week of each other's hospitality?
Each night for a week, one of our hosts will throw a dinner party for the others. They all have their own unique styles of cooking and entertaining, but they're all determined to impress, because at the end of each evening, the guests will give their host a mark out of ten. The host with the most points at the end of the week wins £1,000 pounds. Come Dine With Me has expanded to a variety of formats including singles, couples and celebrity specials!

That's how saganaki's served, but it's never the only thing on the table. It's one starter out of many. There's usually a salad, bit of feta, a pita or something... saying "that's how it's traditionally served" leaves out half the story :)
Exactly, it's like taking one appetiser - like deviled eggs - out of the assembly of appetisers and calling it a "first course"
True. It’s also served wrapped in pastry and fried. Served with honey or figs etc. He could’ve made a nice Greek spread too to win some major points
The first local they interviewed scared me with her blue eye shadow
I thought at first it was her eyes, lol.
Exact same here too. Had to go back, pause & see it again
That old lady reminds me of the old ladies who take solo trips to Gambia for the "sun and the beaches and the lovely locals".
Honestly, the 80s lady, Sylvia, looks like someone who you could really have a fun karaoke night with whether it be at a bar or at home. And I love 80s music, so we'd get along fine. 😊
Saganaki is delicious but I agree with Sylvia about it not being a winning by starter on its own. Keen to see the rest of the courses.
Sorry but he literally put a couple of bits of cheese on a plate with some lemon. Surely he can’t seriously think he might win.
"more like a dust man!" 🤣🤣🤣
Dustbin FM - I'm dead
Love these lot😂
Saganaki is a side not a starter and normally it only comes with lemon unless they do a balsamic glaze but we never mix lemon with vinegar like that.
A lot contestants stay trying to do the least, yet want to achieve the most by winning on minimal effort lol.
It's one of the easiest starters I've seen.
Im from Herts and didn't know it's famous for top hats
In the recap they really missed out the opportunity to feature arguably the best CDWM joke ever. (pension age increase)😂
love sylvia bless her ❤️
I still don't know how this show affords the licensing agreements to play the music they do.

0:20 why would he need a double stacked oven?

One for grilling perhaps?
