Being a diehard laker fan and watching every game this season, Ingram is most definitely our best player. I’m surprised you forgot to mention we had him playing the point a few times when Lonzo was out. He’s a very underrated playmaker. I don’t think he has necessarily a “weakness” in his game. The only thing he needs to improve to be all star level is his consistency. Which will improve with time and confidence.
B.I just need more weight and consistent 3pt shooting he good already, hes already good playmaker, crazy how some of laker fans think Kuzma is better than B.I lmao
Kuzma has All-Star potential but Ingram always had that superstar potential... it just all depends on how patient the lakers are with developing him...
PRIME INGRAM yea kuzma has potential to be a good player but brandon has that superstar potential because of his length with his arms and height so it makes him better on defense than kuzma all he needs is a consistent 3 and to be an 80% free throw shooter and hes basically a superstar point blank
I feel like Brandon Ingram is going to develop into a taller Paul George around 22 points a game around 7 rebounds around 5 assists with some solid defense
I hate how people talk about the Lakers, and only talk about lonzo, maybe kuzma and sometimes randle and don't mention Ingram when he's the BEST player on the team
Siddh Shahi he's at 16 5 & 4 this year what's so hard to believe he can average 4 more points & 1 more rebound he'll have another year experience he'll be stronger his shot will improve and so will his confidence
I have to admit when I started listening to your content it was kind of hard for me to watch mainly because I realize my IQ and appreciation of the game wasn’t the same as yours. Now having listened to you for almost a year, I’ve learned a lot watching your videos. You’ve made my understanding of basketball grow, and my overall knowledge of the game much deeper than I could have ever imagined. Plus your podcasts are straight fire lol. Know you have a fan in me always bro.
Ingram 16-5-4-1-1 on 47-38-69 in 33 MPG (Age 20) Giannis 13-6-3-1-1 on 49-16-74 in 31 MPG (Age 20) Kawhi 12-6-2-2-1 on 47-37-82 in 31 MPG (Age 21) P. George 12-6-2-1-0 on 44-38-80 in 30 MPG (Age 21) J. Butler 13-5-3-2-0 on 40-28-76 in 39 MPG (Age 23)
Ingram, Randle, & Ball will all be studs.. And what's more they mesh perfect together.. Idk why Magic is being so star thirsty.. He needs to be patient..
Lmao only retards would ruin a potential dynasty for a shot at the playoffs? For what? Tbh i hope Magic ruins this lakers team because it just means they dont deserve the insane amount of young talent. Instead of looking for the next Kobe in FA, look for them from one of the young guys.
Grant Moore, I don't know man. I mean they are good players but it seems no matter how many top picks the Lakers get they are still pretty bottom tier in the league. I think an addition of a superstar is honestly the only way you could ever get to the contender level. Also I am definitely not saying this because I am a Mavs fan and we need Randle or anything like that. Definitely not.
lostinYourReality I believe so too, we probably got the best young core only because philly has a couple guys who may be injury prone we don’t know yet. But if not we’re probably tied.
+Ice Boi I'm not hating I'm realistic ben looks better than Ingram embiid is the best between both teams saric looks better than kuzma and lonzo is better than fultz by default
All of you Lakers Fan saying Brandon Ingram is going to be at best the second option on a Championship team, y'all better pray that the Lakers get or draft that First option type of player on our team because it sure as hell won't be Lonzo Ball or Julius Randle, maybe Kuzma but highly doubt it. Brandon Ingram is amazing for a second year player that doesn't even have an NBA ready body. The kid can literally do it all and has shown the ability to rapidly improve.
I think he becomes a superstar in a Rick Barry type of way. Long, point forward who can dominate in the mid-range area and also play defense (contests shots, gets steals, and blocks) and get rebounds. I also think he would have to become one of the best finishers in the league and tighten up his handles. Obviously, need to be a good 3 pt shooter in the modern era and put on weight (which might unlock some athletic potential for him).
An issue i have with the NBA is they decide who the star players are and stick with them no matter what and tend to overrate thier accomplishments for confirmstion bias. For example is John Wall really better than lillard or demar or do we just believe that because he had more hype as a number 1 pick. Another example is love n griffin getting more hype than Marc Gasol even though hes had a more productive career. What im saying is as long as Ingram isnt terrible people will talk about him like hes a star because we already decided he is.
Convey Dcuo that’s a very fair comparison.... comparing him to Paul George is just wrong they play completely different and have completely different builds
Ingram is 6'10-6'11 now, and he has a crazy vertical. He has more of a vert than Giannis, Giannis just has more muscle and therefore strength behind his movements. Ingram can jump like Nance, he'll be in the dunk contest eventually. Plus he can shoot but he doesn't want to be selfish. With increased confidence he'll be shooting like Durant one day, at least close to it. I'm from Seattle so I watched Durant's entire Rookie season. His game wasn't so developed either. Ingram actually has better ball handling and defense than Durant did his rookie year. Durant was on a worse team and had more of a green light to go try different iso plays so he developed on a personal level a bit faster than Ingram has.
I could see him putting up 25 6 5 1.5s 1b on 50% and 40% in his prime, it just depends on who is coaching and who he’s playing with. If he was given more shots he could easily put up 20+ a night right now. I see his potential (god forgive me, in 2k) realistically being around 88-91, he can become an absolute superstar (94-95) but it isn’t likely. He is already a really good iso scorer, as his mid and inside shots improve he is going to become a BIG problem for other teams. I see his 3 ball % staying the same or improving and him slowly working in more attempts, it will not fall back to league average as he ages. He could also become an elite defender, if he is able to put on that extra weight he could guard the 1-4 quite effectively. Dude has a bright future
I believe you’re right. There is something there in Ingram that’s waiting to happen. There’s a reason that Magic made him his only untouchable player...
I think B.I can be in the same level with George and Demar. Both are 2nd option in championship team. There's only few players that are build on that. But lets see in the future.
Finally someone who realizes Ingram is actually good. I've been saying it myself and as I am a lakers fan, I do see the good more than the bad in players all around the league. Once again your IQ towards basketball wins again, nice video
I think your definition of superstar would have been important for this video, but I think that he is going to be a superstar if he has the desire, he can do it all right now and he’s still improving so hopefully he can reach full potential
At the moment Ingram is showing great signs as a ft shooter because I believe that in the month of february he was shooting around 75% while getting to the line around the same amount
The player he reminds most of and the player I think he should be going for is Kawhi Leonard. Kawhi isn't too much athletic either and they both have length. One thing you didn't quite talk about enough is his defense. Lakers want to make him a lock down defender and he has shown his interest in playing defense often even guarding gurads
No he is not. His vertical on draft combine was 32 inches and to quote them:"He was average across the board." His wingspan is pretty amazing for his size because it's 7-3 guess who else has that wingspan? Yup, Ingram.
Superstar NO. All Star to multiple all star yes he’ll be a STAR the lakers don’t have that future Superstar atm they don’t have that guy that will be that guy like an Embiid, KAT, Giannis, Porzingis etc
Brandon Ingram is having a lot better 2nd year than superstar's today. You acting like he has no chance at all. His body isn't even developed yet, he doesn't have really any weaknesses. He also is a hard ass worker, to say Brandon would have no chance is a reach
Bench it’s not that he won’t it’s just for some guys u can see that very early on you could see it for some guys I just don’t believe he’s that franchise cornerstone type of player hell I think Lonzo is more of that than him
I admit I was very negative on Ingram during draft and first year.. and it was mostly because he has such a dumb facial expression all the time, which is superficial and means nothing but it just threw me off. He is actually a high IQ player and from what I read he has a good worth ethic. I think he will be a star, but it will take him another 2-3 years. His biggest potential is a secondary playmaker. I think his passing/IQ can be on par with Green's. And he should be a better scorer. So, he could be quite special - maybe a Scottie Pippen version?
whats a 1st player? lebron and kobe are top ten all time. Thats way to high of an expectation. I think Kawhi is a 1st best player, but he wont be top 30 all time.
Jamal Murray is better than him and no one talks about him. Less shots, more points, higher percentages, better ball handling (rip Steven adams), top 10 foul shooter already (90.3%), as good at finishing (floaters, scoop shots, mid-close jumpshots), same ages Deceptively good athlete, realistically develop into decent defender
you don’t even know your facts 😂😂 jamal scores 0.1 more points, they both take 13 shots a game, they both shoot 46 from the field and 38 from 3, brandon ingram averages more rebounds and assists.... just shut up and watch the video kid
I’m just going off last time I checked the stats but even then Jamal is like the 5th option on his team (Jokic, millsap, Barton and Harris) are ahead of him in the offensive pecking order. are any of us a future anything

Carlos Hernandez they the same height
hopefully he can
Baby Westbrook oh ur right he just looks taller because he’s skinny
They play nothing alike
I hate how people talk about the Lakers, and only talk about lonzo, maybe kuzma and sometimes randle and don't mention Ingram when he's the BEST player on the team
He needs to go eat a Steak at Kobe's house then he'll have super star potential
Because of HGH?
Dylan Williamson Mamba mentality
by next year I see ingram at around 20 ppg 6rpg 4apg
Ronnie Alston good joke
Siddh Shahi he's at 16 5 & 4 this year what's so hard to believe he can average 4 more points & 1 more rebound he'll have another year experience he'll be stronger his shot will improve and so will his confidence
Thats realistic
Ronnie Alston Sounds about right
I might average that if PG13 doesn’t go to the Lakers
I have to admit when I started listening to your content it was kind of hard for me to watch mainly because I realize my IQ and appreciation of the game wasn’t the same as yours. William Castro you can get great deals on knee pads
😂😂😂😂😂😂chill man
I keep reading the first comment and I’m dead LOL
lol this Nigga poured his heart out yall show some respect
Lmao it’s cool I literally laughed at this all day LOL
Ingram 16-5-4-1-1 on 47-38-69 in 33 MPG (Age 20)
Giannis 13-6-3-1-1 on 49-16-74 in 31 MPG (Age 20)
Kawhi 12-6-2-2-1 on 47-37-82 in 31 MPG
(Age 21)
P. George 12-6-2-1-0 on 44-38-80 in 30 MPG (Age 21)
J. Butler 13-5-3-2-0 on 40-28-76 in 39 MPG (Age 23)
Ingram is the truth
Ingram is the goat
Brandon Ingram patience is key
Brandon Ingram Ingram is like the first option on this team. The others weren’t
The only difference is he was drafted 2nd and the others were 10th and later
No question Ingram can do it all
Every time I see this kid play he impresses me, destroyed my wizards earlier this year. Will be a superstar.
Of course he is the next super star
Zach lavine had multiple 10-14 assist games in his first or second year.
Ingram, Randle, & Ball will all be studs.. And what's more they mesh perfect together.. Idk why Magic is being so star thirsty.. He needs to be patient..
Grant Moore cus it doesnt hurt to add a star to tht group
Phil Johnson Maybe not but at what costs will it take? Sacrificing Julius Randle?? No thank u! A star might stunt our youths growth actually..
Lmao only retards would ruin a potential dynasty for a shot at the playoffs? For what? Tbh i hope Magic ruins this lakers team because it just means they dont deserve the insane amount of young talent. Instead of looking for the next Kobe in FA, look for them from one of the young guys.
I want the Lakers to sign Jahlil Okafor or Nerlens Noel.
Grant Moore, I don't know man. I mean they are good players but it seems no matter how many top picks the Lakers get they are still pretty bottom tier in the league. I think an addition of a superstar is honestly the only way you could ever get to the contender level. To answer your question YES. He’s only 20 and he can do it all. He’ll be an all star 2 years from now watch.
Ice Boi he'll be a star by next year my dude. You guys have a bright future.
lostinYourReality I believe so too, we probably got the best young core only because philly has a couple guys who may be injury prone we don’t know yet. But if not we’re probably tied.
+Ice Boi Its not tied
Brandon Ingram you’re a hater with Brandon Ingram as you’re name. Makes sense.
+Ice Boi I'm not hating I'm realistic ben looks better than Ingram embiid is the best between both teams saric looks better than kuzma and lonzo is better than fultz by default
Brandon Ingram is my favorite player in the league. Mark my words he will be a future top 5 player in the league in his prime
What about me man
you’re the goat too
You a snitch lol
Funky thinks you should be a 76 overall in 2k
Ur a goat
Bum
Good vid but I disagree, for a 2nd year player he’s putting up future stuper star numbers, easily 26+ ppg
I think he becomes a superstar in a Rick Barry type of way. He played PG with Zo out.
My favorite team (Lakers) vs. my favorite player (John Wall)??? Damn it Funky!

hes more of an Andre Kirilenko+ rather than a KD type
Bryant Beach yeah, but defence is not nearly as good
Thats a horrible comparison he kinda reminds me of paul George
Convey Dcuo that’s a very fair comparison.... comparing him to Paul George is just wrong they play completely different and have completely different builds
jshowni i mean the type of star he will be not talking about playstyle
He's not a bad athlete. Added overall strength and specifically core strength will help him
I think in his prime with like 28 years old he‘ll average like 25 PPG 7 RPG 6 APG
Yes laker nation stand up
He’ll be a good player maybe an all star once or twice someday but never the #1 star that’s just my opinion tho
Yes I believe in BI he has better numbers than Kawhi and PG 13 in their second year
i think he can score more than 21 a game in his prime i think he could be around 25 ppg
Brandon Ingram is going to be the superstar for the Lakers.
He has some serious potential just needs a little more meet on his body thoe but he’ll be great no matter what
fav player
Id say BI can be the 2nd guy on a championship team
Laker nation baby!!!
Ingram one of flyest in the NBA.
PG: Lonzo
SG: Paul George
SF: Ingram
PF: Lebron
C: Deandre
Remember this
What are you smoking? I don't see that happening unless LeBron takes a massive pay cut
Ingram is 6'10-6'11 now, and he has a crazy vertical. He has more of a vert than Giannis, Giannis just has more muscle and therefore strength behind his movements. His size, speed, agility, ball handling, and vert almost guarantee he'll be an Elite player within a couple more seasons.

Imagine if Ingram, Kuzma And Lonzo all develop to their full potential. The Lakers will be a scary team
Jeremy Hayes dont forget randle
Randle will be LA's Draymond Green. I think he has the potentia to be that good. Also, don't forget about Josh Hart now
Yes he will be a superstar!
I think your definition of superstar would have been important for this video, but I think that he is going to be a superstar if he has the desire, he can do it all right now and he’s still improving so hopefully he can reach full potential
I agree with you. I'd want him on my team no matter what. I see his rbs and asts going up for sure and his shooting % to gradually increase.
At the moment Ingram is showing great signs as a ft shooter because I believe that in the month of february he was shooting around 75% while getting to the line around the same amount
Idk I think if by some miracle the Lakers sign two big name guys in the off-season it might stunt his growth as a player
G Man Kawhi Leonard is ridiculously athletic he's just not flashy.
No he is not. His vertical on draft combine was 32 inches and to quote them:"He was average across the board." His wingspan is pretty amazing for his size because it's 7-3 guess who else has that wingspan? Yup, Ingram.
I imagine him becoming as good as about Bradley Beal.
I think you underrate his 3pt potential and overrate his assist potential
brandon ingram is half jamal crawford and half george gervin
He knew
So he'll basically be Gordon Hayward in a few years
Yes
Depends on your definition of a superstar.
Imma need a Jaylen Brown video coach
No. But he'll be really really good.
In his prime, he's gonna average
27 PTS, 7 REBS, 6 AST, 2 BLKS
2 blocks 2 steals i see kirklenko versatilty on defense
He'll be a 2nd option star
Or who will be better?
It's not even a question.
First
yes
Superstar NO. All Star to multiple all star yes he’ll be a STAR the lakers don’t have that future Superstar atm they don’t have that guy that will be that guy like an Embiid, KAT, Giannis, Porzingis etc
Joe James prove it 🤷🏼♂️
Not Luke Chambers wait and see
Giannis didn't look like it his first few years neither
Brandon Ingram is having a lot better 2nd year than superstar's today. You acting like he has no chance at all. His body isn't even developed yet, he doesn't have really any weaknesses. He also is a hard ass worker, to say Brandon would have no chance is a reach
Bench it’s not that he won’t it’s just for some guys u can see that very early on you could see it for some guys I just don’t believe he’s that franchise cornerstone type of player hell I think Lonzo is more of that than him
I can see him being sort of a Gordon Hayward caliber player.
Neh Danny granger
he’ll be better than both
Sid S nah Kawhi
I see Paul george
I disagree. He is far too hard working and gifted to be a Nicholas batum. He's a better passing Leonard.
In my league its 2022 and hes only averaging 16 ppg so im a have to say no.
lmao so your basing his career off a 2K game mode? ok
Dude nobody trusts 2k prediction lmao 😂
Guneet Wahla 2k doesn’t know anything about shot tendencies going up as players progress
Until that 1st best player shows up into the Lakers Team, Ingram is clearly the first option on the team.
whats a 1st player? lebron and kobe are top ten all time. Thats way to high of an expectation. I think Kawhi is a 1st best player, but he wont be top 30 all time.
Who’s ceiling is higher? Jaylen Brown or Brandon Ingraham?
Quaith mero Ingram. Brown will be good though. He’s just not a playmaker
Quaith mero Brown due to athleticism and defense and desire to be a great.
Jamal Murray is better than him and no one talks about him. Less shots, more points, higher percentages, better ball handling (rip Steven adams), top 10 foul shooter already (90.3%), as good at finishing (floaters, scoop shots, mid-close jumpshots), same ages
Deceptively good athlete, realistically develop into decent defender
you don’t even know your facts 😂😂 jamal scores 0.1 more points, they both take 13 shots a game, they both shoot 46 from the field and 38 from 3, brandon ingram averages more rebounds and assists.... just shut up and watch the video kid
Shockz W
I’m just going off last time I checked the stats but even then Jamal is like the 5th option on his team (Jokic, millsap, Barton and Harris) are ahead of him in the offensive pecking order. Jamal and Brandon should at least get way more even recognition especially since their stats are similar and the nuggets are winning
Aside from Jamal having a TERRiBLE start to the season when millsap got injured his stats went up to about 18-20 points mide 40s for 3.
Stephen A Smith just sayin but you sound like your name
