Hi there. I've just checked and there option to use another Authentication app is still there. The layout of the page is just a little bit different. Could you tell us when exactly did you encounter an issue?
I really like 2FAS! So much so that I'm ditching Authy. I just realized I could use 2FAS with my Microsoft accounts but came here looking to see if in doing so, I should turn off Microsoft's own authenticator security. The two authenticators are kind of redundant but more importantly, I'm curious if having both authenticators enabled simultaneously will cause a conflict. Any advice? And thanks for such a great app!
Hi there! Yes, you should choose one Authenticator app or security that will be your main one, because having multiple would complicate a lot of things and lead to conflicts. And most importantly you don't really need 2 separate services doing the same thing, it won't make the accounts safer. 😊
There is no reason not to have both, as they do different things while having the same purpose - the security of your account. Vaultwarden is a password manager, while 2FAS provides 2-factor Authentication. Using both simultaneously only benefits the security of your online accounts.
@@2FAS Account fatigue is real unfortuneatley for me. Vaultwarden does supply TOTP as well. My biggest challenge recently was exporting Fortigate Tokens using something llike openftm, from the encrypted format to a plain text TOTP that bitwarden(or google auth or 2FAS).
It would be really cool if you make a desktop app for 2FAS!
We will be working on it, but right now we have other priorities like languages. But please stay patient and eventually it will be there! 😊
Desktop App is not a good idea for safety reasons. But the browser extension does the job perfectly 👌
This does not work anymore. There will no option to use different authenticator app

Thank God lol 👏👏👏
Thanks for a comment 😊
Why 2FAS when I have Vaultwarden?

What if I'm not given any choices other than phone or email?
You don't have the option to click "set up a different Authenticator app"? Or is the problem with something else?
Need to Apple watch!
We'll be working on it.
