Zenyatta - 2008 Breeders Cup Ladies Classic

Zenyatta punctuated both an undefeated season and the first-ever Ladies' Day championship program with an emphatic 1 1/2-length victory in the $1,832,000 Breeders Cup Ladies Classic (G1) on Friday at the Oak Tree meet at Santa Anita Park.
Jerry and Ann Mosss four-year-old Street Cry (Ire) filly swept wide around the far turn and had no problem disposing of seven opponents in the $2-million race. Cocoa Beach (Chi) rallied from the inside to be second with her Godolphin Stable stablemate Music Note another 1 1/2 lengths back in third.

Some one told me, that the trainer regret not running her at the classic that year!

Zenyatta is pretty much running 10th of a mile further than everyone else in each of her races,because how wide she goes...and she is also giving 10 length head start to the leader pretty much at the start of every race because she is asleep at the gates...and in a couple of races she is weaving around horses side-stepping them as she is simultaneously mowing them down at the end ...seriously, who does that?

Mike certainly tried hard to throw new challenges at her every-time, or else she probably would have become bored early in her career...i am not complaining because it was exiting stuff
