John, your drum set transcriptions of these percussion ensemble rhythms are so appreciated. Thanks for all you do. Where can I find the aural sources that inspired you to transcribe them? Your efforts have encouraged me to take a listen and try one myself. Are these pop rhythms or old folk traditions?

Hi! Thanks for your interest and questions. The rhythms that I have featured would all be classified as "traditional" within the ethnic groups. RUclips has an abundance of resources, both audio and video, where you can transcribe audio and in many cases, see the players playing the individual parts. I will be making available a collection of transcriptions of these rhythms shortly and you'll have plenty to practice. Glad that you are enjoying these!

Thanks for pointing that out. I really didn't notice, but will look into what I did wrong. None of my other videos have those borders. Thanks again!

I take that back. I am seeing other videos with the black borders. Time to investigate.

The borders take nothing away from what is a fantastic video! Thanks for the lesson! Really looking forward to trying this out!

I have tried to address the borders, but haven't found a way to correct existing videos. I will make sure to get that right before I post future videos. Thanks again for letting me know.
