This looks like so much fun. I went to a school where they taught us (a bunch of white kids) djembe and a bit of dundun, and I remember loving that sound so much, the vigor you feel when a slap echoes out. It's such an "alive" tone, definitely one of my favorite drums.
Thank you. This made my 💙 happy. I am never able to get out there and travel the world and enjoy good times with different cultures of the world. One love 😎
Having drummed a bit with Tore and Kojo, I had to come here and continue learning from them even in their absence. Great work, guys! The video is too short though.
Just fabulous! I wanted to hear ther guy on the bougarabou do a solo, as I'm into more bass pattern/\s at the moment. Come to think of it....solos for them all. Thanks guys /\
Love it! I play various drums: Djembe, Doumbek, Frame Drums, ect. and always looking to learn new rhythms. So many videos with African drummers there's too much happening for me to learn and play along, this was easier to follow. Keep making more videos, I'll keep jammin along.😊
No It’s not. I have been playing mendiani for years, I know this rythm very well and many version of it. Nothing to do with what they are playing on this video. If you wsnt to see rral mendiani, ask me and I send you some links. 😊

This was awesome! What are the four big drums called?
Doun doun or sometimes Djun Djun
Dun uns or dun duns. They all have names, kene kene is the smallest one.
Thanks for the replies!
@@Minimum4488 Yes the smallest is Kenkeni - the next is Sangban and the largest of the 3 is Dundumba

Too mechanical and flat sounding. You need to go listen to Cuban drumming
