Laura Dern really exemplfied the wholsome girl next door in a sleepy little town, caught up in this twisted forboding mystery in "Blue Velvet." These elements also defined David Lynch...A boyscout Eagle Scout at one time....who created some of the most beautifu, yet twisted and disturbing visions on film by any director....a humble childlike singular Genius...David Lynch...none ever again like him.
I know it’s not the most popular opinion but I believe Inland Empire to be the best of his work. Yes it’s a mind f*ck but so raw and mesmerizing, and you are so engulfed that part of you feels like Nikki grace is about to walk through your front door after saving the lost girl. Brilliant
