What state was Frank Miller in when he wrote All Star Batman and Robin? Bigger question is probably what editor in chief or CEO or whoever let that comic see the light of day on a shelf?

Miller is such an enigma, man. There is no other comic creator that comes to mind that has created both what are arguably the absolute best and absolute worst characterizations of the same character. It's crazy lol

@@kbreslin7289 That poses an interesting ethical question. Does law enforcement allow Batman to be a vigilante because does not kill? Because an increase in hiring would effectively eliminate Batman’s role. Does the public support Batman because he essentially prevents the government from raising taxes? Are taxes so bad that they would rather have an understaffed police force, no social programs, the inability to prosecute vicious criminals at the state or federal level, or sufficiently detain / execute these dangerous criminals? What blame does Batman bear at the actual government does not?

I want to say half or marvel? Most of them don't have no kill policies and have to make excuses on why not to kill.
I've seen wolverine kill like a over a dozen nameless faceless ppl but spare the leader so she would remember.
How did WOLVERINE not make the list? His motto is "I'm the best there is at what I do, and what I do ain't pretty." which literally means what he does best is kill.

While I appreciate my heroes having hard lines they wont cross, the idea that they wouldn't kill ever is pretty childish to me. It's an entirely different thing for a court to convict someone, with the amount of false convictions and innocents put on death row. But the Joker is literally openly bragging about what he does, there is no doubt to his guilt. And to let him live is to become culpable in his crimes, it's that simple.
The only reason the law can't kill the Joker is because of his insanity. The only reason Batman can't kill him can vary depending on who you ask. I believe Batman won't let himself kill because once he does, he won't be able to stop himself from executing every criminal he spots because he is somewhat insane as well.
Where did they get this idea from?

The only real reason Batman or the state won't kill the Joker is because there wouldn't be anymore Joker stories.
Although I'm certain they have killed Joker before, but they just bring him back with time shenanigans or Lazarus pits or something else.

Diana is a warrior and as such has a different view on her actions than others. IMO she tends to be more like The Punisher than Batman but not as bloody.
I've always looked at it that Batman is too smart to resort to killing. Superman too powerful and WW is not even remotely close to their intellect or power so she resorts to killing
Have a look at the MCU Avengers. Almost all of them have killed people directly, all of the original six have.

Once you cross that line it might be way too easy to stay there or too difficult to come back when it comes to killing or even just not saving a life if you can save it.
Sure. But Batman knows the Joker's mind more than anyone. He knows that Joker will get out and what he will do, it's the nature of the story. So him not killing Joker makes him culpable. Under the Red Hood broaches the subject well and while Batman makes a good point, Jason is right. Certain death worshipping filth like Joker needs to be put down, period.

@@MrWolfchamp-xi3cu Right but, I uhhhh, disagree. To be honest, I trust Batman to not go down that slope. I mean they're fictional characters so they can do whatever the writer wants, just kind of silly that the story intentionally makes Batman culpable. Batman having a point about the slippery slope doesn't change the fact that his actions are not solving the issue, just stopping the killing for small amounts of time. The writers could choose to keep Joker locked up so Batman is making some progress, or write more stories where villains are rehabilitated, but that's not the nature of the story. Then you have to keep making new villains, so Batman being ineffective is really just a longevity of IP issue.
The best way to add Batman on the list is Speciesism. He is not above killing non verbal sentient if not humanoid aliens.
How about.... Artists who brought only one good thing to comics? I'd imagin Rob Liefeld being #1 with the one good thing being Deadpool debuting in his run at Marvel.
I’m kind of wondering why green arrow isn’t on this list. He has a literally shot so many people with his bow and arrow and has killed people as well.
Well, that's one way to count "Kill Counts", and what I expected when I saw the title. But, before watching I thought "Kill Count" could also refer to Characters who've died many times.

How about a list of heroes with the lowest kill count? or villain with the lowest kill count.
A list of heroes with a low kill count would be boring and filled with just young sidekicks and their pets.

Guess nobody at shatculture has heard of Wolverine and Hulk. Even arms-manufacturer Tony Stark must have a fairly large amount of blood on his hands.
People expect Wolverine to kill people ... then again same deal with Punisher & Deadpool and anyone in "The Seven" from The Boys.

About the only reason for heroes like Punisher to exist is to show what heroes SHOULDN'T be. Frank belongs in a prison and away from any and everyone.
Blaming Bats' for what his rogue gallery (joker let's be honest) does isn't particularly fair as his insistence to preserve their lives have ended up creating some of the most likable super villain turnovers in comics with Harley Quinn being a noteworthy example
At this point, we should blame Commisioner Gordon for all the people Riddler kills and Nightwing for how many people Blockbuster kills. Superman not killing Darkseid allows for him to continue to torture and kill people so by this logic, it is his fault, not the being that is evil incarnate.
Ok I get what you're saying with all that I do,but it's not like Batman can just talk some of his rogue gallery down I mean last time I saw him do it with joker it was Arkham asylum and that arguably ended worst. if Batman is responsible for anyone's body count it's Jason Todd's without the training he'd just be some no named goon on the streets
