    NOTE that the suspensory ligament does NOT bifurcate at the fetlock joint it Bifurcates in alignment with the buttons of the splint bones on the third metacarpal and creates a firm insertion into the abaxial surface of the proximal sesamoids. from there the suspensory ligament reduces in thickness and runs dorsally and distally to then merge with the common digital extensor tendon with the first insertion point of p1 (proximal phalanx) this is where the proximal inter phalangeal articulation can be found hope this helps!!!!

    It's palmar when referring to the front limbs, but plantar when referring to the hind limbs

    At 3.40 ish, he says "check ligament not always present on the hind limb ! ?" Is the ligament there or not ?

      Adam Mac Hi Adam, Mike sent this reply to your question. I think he meant "apparent" not present. Thanks for the question.
      Good morning: The inferior check ligament is not apparent in
      this specimen. That does not mean that there is not one, as the inferior check
      ligament is not easily defined in this type of specimen. Thank you for
