I was terribly disappointed that the people at Renault did not want to do this, because their engineers didn't plan that it could be turned off. On the other hand, people have created free software that can do this and I hope it can help others.
Wow, that’s amazing that you worked out how to do this by yourself! I think Renault should employ you as they have no one capable of doing it😂 I’m glad you have solved the problem 😊 Now you can go on more hiking trips without worrying about your side mirrors 😁

All cars manufactured after 2026 in Europe should be equipped with a camera that can identify a speed limit sign and not allow you to drive faster, which is fine, but what about when it's an emergency and we need to drive faster??? Some options are just plain stupid. 🤷♂️😂😂😂❤
This is cool how you can Hack into your computer and disable this feature. There's a feature on my car that I would like to disable too. Sometimes the engine turns off to save gas at stops. But I do not like that.
Auto start stop! Yes my car has the same option and I have a button to turn it off, but I have to do it every time after starting the car. That option was invented to reduce pollution when you're in a traffic jam, but it's harmful to the car's engine. I don't know what car you have, but I know that it is possible to turn off that option using this or similar diagnostic software.
Button will just fold them when you want, manually, but any time when you lock and unlock your car it fold/unfold them automatically. At least that is case with my car. Maybe in newer Kadjar there is button to stop automatic folding, but this one from 2018 doesn't have that option.
I always try to share these tricks, although many people keep them to themselves so they can charge you for their help. And for me t's a stingy thing to do!
