- We didn't upload this before because the harmony (specifically the baritone part) is off on the first half of the chorus the first two times, by being flat. It's better the last time. One thing's for sure, Pap nailed his lead on the verses and the chorus. :-) Corie (Chatter) did a great job too, as did Tipper (who can't be seen in frame) on playing the bass. I love how Pap and I hit the exact same run (he on the D and G string and I on the G and B string) after the word "Soul" at 4:13. This was unbeknownst to both of us, I'm sure, but it harmonizes nicely. We hope folks enjoys this sweet, classic hymn about the love of family.

Reminds me of friday night prayer meeting on holy hill Tuckasegee ,N.C. I never went myself but could hear the singing down across the tuckasegee valley at night. I ofter sat on my car hood and listened . Born on Cullowhee mountain Tuckasegee N.C. 1939 Miss those days.

This song takes me back to a little old wooden, dirt road Church with an outdoor toilet. My Ma-Pat & Pa-Pat's Church would have all day singins and food set up on wood tables outside it seemed like for a quarter mile, lol! You are right, Pap never missed a note in the whole song. It doesn't matter that you and Corie got a little off. That's what happens sometimes. At least you have a family that gets together and tries. I cried during Pap's solo. He is a Precious Memory now.

I'm cleaning out four decades of accumulated engineering stuff, tools, and the like in preparation for consolidating and moving everything back home. It's amazing the memories which are brought to the fore, not so much of the work, but of family trips and activities. So I decided to go search for Precious Memories, and up comes this version before I even did a search. The only flat part that I can speak to is that this is flat out outstanding. You all are a blessing.

Thanks , If I had looked closer I would have known that. I really like the Gibson guitars. I started out 51 years ago with a f hole, I now have 2 songwriters one is the deluxe both fabulous guitars. Would love to have a dove and Hummingbird. I liked your cord progression on this song, very complex and clean.
