The Canadian pilot's reaction to the jammed stabilizer is like "yeah, whatever".
Its not like they can go out and fix it
Fly with power and trim if avail
Even the jammed stabiliser was politely jammed in a neutral position. I love Canada!!
At least it jammed in a neutral position.
An excellent example of clear, concise, polite communications.
Canadian politeness on full display...
Excellent job by the flight crew. Sounded very relaxed on the radio...whether personality or just busy with what had to be done, props to you for keeping cool.
Professional and great team work.
toronto showing how great atc coms are done the past two days!
The media will blame Boeing for this one, too...... and yes, I know it's an Airbus.
Please share that with us when you see it.
well... it didin't try to actively murder the pilots and passengers and it didn't fall apart. That's a step up from Boeing.
So professional
So sedate
Sooo Canadian
ATC was very economical with transmission....few words, simple instructions and questions, just let the crew deal with their situation
Thank god everyone got home safe
Smooth operator 👍
Great job!
Airline Industry, "Sill no major crash in North America? Try harder!"
Nicely handled by all.
Nice Job... Got real heavy on the controls unable to trim the Stab. 80s on Boeings could over ride the Jammed Stab with the Auto Pilot Trim.
Well the plane is flyable
Most likely Boeing's fault...
On an airbus? They’re getting sneaky over there.
Thanks Karen.
It was an a330 so I don’t think so.
Some people just don't get sarcasm do they.
i’m concerned about the lack of quality of aircraft maintenance lately.
I’ve heard the plane was not carrying passengers but “ Moving Pictures “
Great album 😊
Whoa,what a Rush
but scarebus never faces the insane scrutiny BOEING does.
Sounds like fly by wire!
Smh
Afraid I would sound like PeeWee Herman on the audio.
could have been nasty.
OH, NO! THE DREADED BOEING A330 JAMMED STABILIZER!
A 330 is Airbus, not Boeing..
high quality Canadian maple syrup can become very sticky. it's meant for pancakes and waffles. don't use it to wash your planes. (sorry.. couldn't help it.. having breakfast right now and holding a bottle of excellent quality pure Canadian maple syrup right now)
That Trudeau is so sexy....I agree.
🤤
A boeing i presume ?
You presume wrong
That's why it says Airbus A330 Dumb Ass!
Maybe you shouldn’t presume.
Almost 300 on board could have been bad but everyone handled it like professionals great job most of north America incidents are handled great it's when you don't have American or Canadian pilots that have trouble with English sometimes but still usually works out
Pan-pan is just the metric version of mayday.
No. Mayday is the metric version of "I am declaring an emergency". Mayday often isn't understood in FAA-land.
Never ever declare an emergency, only exception is if you're in a 45 degree nose dive and on fire..
If you are on fire or have lost all power you declare an emergency.
If they had run off the end of the runway they would have been faulted for not declaring an emergency, Pan Pan is essentially a request for priority handling.
most times, the first call will be a May-Day (x2)
@@Belchmaster41
May Day May Day emergency.
Pan Pan urgency.
@@AlbertHess-xy7ky LGL…emergency good for both. Your version has expired….too unnecessarily complicated.
@@RLTtizME There is only one level of emergency/urgency? Do you shut the airport down for a passenger heart attack. Roll the crash trucks. no subtilities, they have expired, too complicated?
Strange how all the "yanks don't know how to talk on the radio" folks have no issues when a pilot declares Pan Pan for a flight control problem. To me, not having full control of the aircraft is an emergency.....but maybe that is my silly, bad RT, yank talking.
Oh, and I would expect a Canadian pilot who comes from a bilingual country (where one of the languages is French), would know how to pronounce 'Pan'.
ya, they would say pan
@@barney6888 It is pronounced Pahn, similar to the weakest chess piece. Not Pan like what we cook in.
@@captainjohnh9405 oh
like in Grey PouPAAAHHHHN
pan pan with a jammed stabilizer is crazy lol
