Brilliant it's something else to listen to to the likes of des so much experience so many story's. Been privileged to meet Steve Saunders he comes and fishes some of our matches on the broads and normally destroys us LOL talks to anyone. Thanks ALL

I think with the big money matches now, most people focus on them for obvious reasons. Great to hear about Des's experiences.
Des is actually wrong about DAM being a different team. The Dorking team was D.A.M Dorking until 97, then we got Daiwa sponsorship. Des came a bit later on so that would be why he doesn't remember the D.A.M days.

Just throw it out there but I am looking to track down old fishing mate, we travelled the circuit with Farnborough in te 70s and 80s but I lost track of him after i married in 88 .Steve Champion then went on to fish under the Dorking banner but has since given up and gone into Aston cars. Anyone know of him as i would love to get back in touch.

Met a lot of friends on th old nationals
Rubbish memories! High field, Barnsley, Essex, Dorking, Starlets and Trentmen with the top teams. Highfield were the best for a while. Northern teams dominated the main events for a long team.
