Top 5 Facebook interview questions: 5. How do you prioritize your work? 4. Tell me about a time when you failed. 3. Tell me about a time when you had conflict in your job. 2. What is your proudest accomplishment? 1. Why Facebook?
Thanks Dan, it was easy to follow. If I can suggest an improvement, it'll be nice to have the list of questions in the text format in the video's description.
Hello Dan, hope you are dong all right .Thank you very much for sharing all these valuable information though out your videos. I wanted to ask you if you recommend to buy any of Lewis C Lin Books such as the The Product Manager interview book or the The secrets of the product Manager interview book? Thank you once again!
Thank you for the question! I just finished going through Secrets of the PM Interview (kindle version).. and I assumed you're writing for an Amazon PM until I see it's for FB :) Overall, it's an interesting book - definitely worth reading (saying this after going through about 70 audio/books on hiring this year), and it offers a ton of insight (high level for the most part) into how these interview work. For the behavioral part - it introduces the DIGS method (a replacement for the STAR method) to answer such questions; I will review it in more detail (and make a video about it if I find it interesting), however, I've said a couple of times on this channel that the framework is just a template... it can't give you more than just a couple of pointers. The other thing I kind of disagree with him is storytelling - the "craft" or the need to perfection this; to me, making sense is 10x more important and efficient. For the FB PM interview: my experience is they do ask some behavioral questions (far less than with Amazon) - but these won't be the main thing in the interview (inline with the author); there is pretty strong coverage on the more interesting topics covered in the book both in terms of questions (e.g. how would you improve FBs news feed) but also in terms of insider knowledge (i.e. I had no idea they have 3 types of interviews: Product sense, Execution and Leadership); I helped a Google (maps) PM transition there.. I think he mentioned this during my coaching. The other interesting bit is in the intel you get from the last section where he answers commonly asked questions.
Thank you Dan for your prompt and kind response. Im, going for a FB interview in a couple of weeks and I am happy I find your videos as they have been very very useful as they provide guidance step by step. I have been working for a company for 19 years now so I got very impressed on how much information is there to support and guide us through the interview process to go into this giants, FB, Amazon etc.. So I’m enjoying the process and enjoying a lot watching your videos!! I will consider getting the book as well. :) THANK YOU!!
Hi Dan, I have been following you for 2 years. Your videos are clear, concise and structured. I wonder that if your interview videos from 2 years ago can still apply for the Big tech company nowadays?
Hi! I have a call with a Facebook recruiter on Monday. How prepared do I need to be, for that call? Will they be asking me technical questions, or just questions based on my experience?
In the end, recruiter made a mistake and once she realized, I'm not a US citizen, I didn't even have the interview (she said that she is unable to call international number). Weird, since I got the interview invite through linkedin where the country is shown.

@@jancipittner2477 that's very weird, especially for FB; I'd say you should contact them further to clarify the situation
