Michel Arrignon Masterclass - Clarinet - Rabaud: Solo de concours

Masterclass with Professor Michel Arrignon in which they work on Rabaud's Solo de concours for clarinet and piano op 10. This masterclass took place at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, Madrid 2011.

H. Rabaud: Solo de concours for clarinet and piano op 10
Abstract:
Professor Arrignon comments the tempo of the first part of the piece and plays the beginning to show the student the correct interpretation: it is almost a cadenza. He corrects some wrong notes and several breathing places, as well as the trills and their fingerings. Arrignon insists on tempo fluctuations and the relation with the expression during the whole class. Finally, they work on virtuosic passages of scales.
