Rohail Hyatt was a master and people generally prefer his work to Strings'. Me too. You should check out the Coke studio songs on his channel Rohail Hyatt. Also you should react to Kangana Coke studio by rohail Hyatt. It is a masterpiece. Please pretty please.

      Sitar, Veena(several kinds like Rudra veena etc,), Sur bahar, Dilruba, sarod,Santoor etc... Several strings instruments are integrated part of Indian classical music and are Indian, Persian istrument or say instruments of this part of world. But no problem they(westerners) only know strings by guitar or similar instruments...😅

  • @bizmaky1238
    @bizmaky1238 5 лет назад +27

    Yes, strings are western instruments. Infact the founder of coke studio 'Rohail Hyatt' was a former Pakistani pop group member. He is an expert in western/pop music. In one of his interview he mentioned how got inspired by our own eastern music and wanted to come up with ideas to combine the east and the west, which he called fusion. The whole concept of coke studio is based on 'fusion' music. This is done to keep the younger /modern generation in touch with the eastern roots. The whole concept of coke studio was the brain child of Rohail Hyatt to experiment with this fusion with all kinds of artists which Pakistan is rich with. It turned out to be a huge success. In Pakistan if you talk about 'fusion' music, then you talk about coke studio. Rohail Hyatt produced coke studio for the first 5/6 years. Then he handed it over to 'Strings', who stayed uptil season 10. Season 11 was taken over by 'Ali Hamza'. All of them are pop stars in some form of another and got a chance to carry on with this experimentation. They have kept coke studio alive, with their passion for music.

    Ahmed Jehanzeb is the younger Singer out of the two. We grew up together like brothers in Karachi Pakistan, Ahmed Jehanzeb was also called the "Wonder Boy" with a golden throat. He started his singing career at the age of only 4 years and at the age of 8 he Performed sold put concerts in South Africa. He learnt n got his Eastern Art of singing from a Proper Master 'Ustad' at the mere age of 8 yrs old I think. Anyhow, he is also an actor and has sung n acted in many Pakistani Soap operas and for Pakistani and Indian movie. In short words, Ahmed Jehanzeb is a fighter, a guy with a golden throat and a brighter heart!

      we can relax because Allah forgives, there is no doubt in it. but most people don't realize that a person forgiving another person is equally important, if not more. and no, sufism cannot and will never help anyone in this case. simply doesn't work like that in general.

    Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan comes from a long line of amazing singers.
    You can find all of them on RUclips - if interest in comparing some great voices that have much in common but are still unique
    - His father the late Ustad Amanat Ali Khan;
    - Uncles Ustad Hamid Ali Khan (on Coke studio too) (and Fateh Ali Khan);
    - His elder brother the late Ustad Asad Amanat Ali Khan.
    Hamid and Asad used to perform as a pair for the first part of their career.
    Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan is known for doing things his own way, even when performing compositions originally made popular by his Dad.
    I think the song "Insha ji utho" is available on RUclips sung by at least 3 if not 4 of them (separately).
    All of them were are revered and very popular.

    Mid range and chest voice is preferable in indian classical singing as it communicates the emotions required in the best way. And you explained it perfectly, singing with POWER. Many of the verses in these songs are more than 500 years and have been inherited from generation to generation. When that happens, its normal for the song to be sang more powerfully.

    Well as you said its less desireable for them then its the technical point you already understood very Well , just like you also said its not that they cant.
    So not for every song they would keep Gentle voice in any verse , in this song they just did it what song was demanding. And really thanks for appreciating these two singers are literally perfect in their skills.

    The wooden flute is called Bamboo flute( Bansuri, Venu or Banshi). If you find some time listen to Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia ( Flute player, Indian classical music). He is one of the best flute player ever. You will come to know how soothing bamboo flute can be and what is the power of Indian classical music.
