Yes, strings are western instruments. Infact the founder of coke studio 'Rohail Hyatt' was a former Pakistani pop group member. He is an expert in western/pop music. In one of his interview he mentioned how got inspired by our own eastern music and wanted to come up with ideas to combine the east and the west, which he called fusion. The whole concept of coke studio is based on 'fusion' music. This is done to keep the younger /modern generation in touch with the eastern roots. The whole concept of coke studio was the brain child of Rohail Hyatt to experiment with this fusion with all kinds of artists which Pakistan is rich with. It turned out to be a huge success. In Pakistan if you talk about 'fusion' music, then you talk about coke studio. Rohail Hyatt produced coke studio for the first 5/6 years. Then he handed it over to 'Strings', who stayed uptil season 10. Season 11 was taken over by 'Ali Hamza'. All of them are pop stars in some form of another and got a chance to carry on with this experimentation. They have kept coke studio alive, with their passion for music.
Western instrument who told you that. Search about veena and ghuzenj. String in europe were used during 15-16 th century. We used to use that since 2000 years. First research and speak.
@royalrider0092 Bhai diplomatic solution doond rahe hai. But I agree with you. Carl is still trying to find the voices of the female backup singers (throw some shade at the barbaric Muslims not giving equality agenda it seemed like)

Your comments on the vocals really made me listen to this song from a completely new dimension. (Y) But, yes, I would suggest you to read the lyrics as well, because the connection with the essence of the song is what makes you enjoy it more.
Glad that you finally reacted to this track. In order to listen to the girls' voices and other instruments, you'll need to download the mp3 audio file from CS Pakistan's website and use a high quality audio gear (headphones, DAC, amp). RUclips videos' audio quality is generally not good enough.
Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan comes from a long line of amazing singers. You can find all of them on RUclips - if interest in comparing some great voices that have much in common but are still unique - His father the late Ustad Amanat Ali Khan; - Uncles Ustad Hamid Ali Khan (on Coke studio too) (and Fateh Ali Khan); - His elder brother the late Ustad Asad Amanat Ali Khan. Hamid and Asad used to perform as a pair for the first part of their career. Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan is known for doing things his own way, even when performing compositions originally made popular by his Dad. I think the song "Insha ji utho" is available on RUclips sung by at least 3 if not 4 of them (separately). All of them were are revered and very popular.
Runaway by krewella and qadri brothers is one of the best! It perfectly shows us what coke studio is all about. Traditional rich music with a modern blend.
we can relax because Allah forgives, there is no doubt in it. but most people don't realize that a person forgiving another person is equally important, if not more. and no, sufism cannot and will never help anyone in this case. simply doesn't work like that in general.
Mid range and chest voice is preferable in indian classical singing as it communicates the emotions required in the best way. And you explained it perfectly, singing with POWER. Many of the verses in these songs are more than 500 years and have been inherited from generation to generation. When that happens, its normal for the song to be sang more powerfully.
5:41 For non Muslims who don't know, their was a King named Zulqarnain (or Dhulqarnain in English) he had built a wall of Copper and precious metals somewhere on earth to keep species of Yajooj and Majooj locked in. Every day they dig the wall and go to sleep at night. but in Morning wall becomes intact again. one day when their leader would say Inshallah we would finish tomorrow the wall would fall apart next day and they would bring havoc on Earth before end of times. those who don't believe the story of Noah from Quran can see his boat now as its recently discovered. those who don't believe in the story of Quran about Feroh of Muses, can see the deadbody of Feroh now. similar The wall of Zulqarnain is real. we muslims firmly believe it. and also you should know still more than half of the planet is undiscovered. we don't even know what's under the oceans.
We listen to your reactions for comments on the actual vocals. Please give us more of that. Was missing from most of the video but appreciate the comments towards the end
look up Mehdi Hassan if you want to look at a completely different genre of South Asian music. he is considered the godfather of Ghazal(a genre of music) here. died a few years back but left a great legacy behind. Nusrat and Mehdi sahab are two of my fav singers of all time. I sure you would find his style interesting. Have a nice day :)
🇩🇪Carl you are the best chooser of any kind of song. But for me this was the best one. You ask us du we hear the girls? Yes I heard them very lightly in one where they sing hmmmmm up and down. And in many places where they are matching there voices to there males counterparts background singers. If you listen them very carefully you will feel it.
It's a Sufi metaphor: you are a drop of dew (insignificant), God is the ocean, and the way to the ocean (unity with God) is through the river of fire (prevailing over trial and temptation). This bit (like all Sufi philosophies) is actually directly interpolated from the Quran where Allah says if you choose to call yourself a 'believer', you will most certainly be dealt trials and losses, your reaction to which will make evident if you are genuine. If you read Sufi poetry, you will encounter these metophorical words very often: dew, ocean, river, fire, burning, drowning. You'll hear the same words and similar lines in Nusrat's qawwalis, i.e. aag ka darya hai aur doob ke jana hai = it's a river of fire in which you must drown to cross it.
Bro, I've been into Indian/Pakistani songs for awhile. This guy is under-rated! Do you a reaction on "Aaoge jab Tum saajna" by Aabhas & Shreyas. He has a RUclips named "Indie Routes"
Well as you said its less desireable for them then its the technical point you already understood very Well , just like you also said its not that they cant. So not for every song they would keep Gentle voice in any verse , in this song they just did it what song was demanding. And really thanks for appreciating these two singers are literally perfect in their skills.
The wooden flute is called Bamboo flute( Bansuri, Venu or Banshi). If you find some time listen to Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia ( Flute player, Indian classical music). He is one of the best flute player ever. You will come to know how soothing bamboo flute can be and what is the power of Indian classical music.
It is great that you look at the song from a purely technical perspective and analyse from there. However do take a step back and truly listen to the song, read the lyrics and connect with it. It is a different experience all together when you do this.
Such a talented your a real technical reaction and comments I have seen yet... love to watch your reactions... please react on khaki banda coke studio I hope you will love this...

Runaway by krewella and qadri brothers is one of the best! It perfectly shows us what coke studio is all about. Traditional rich music with a modern blend.
It’s a prayer, the whole video is a long prayer with calling out Allah’s different names and asking and seeking forgiveness and mercy!!! Ameen
we can relax because Allah forgives, there is no doubt in it. but most people don't realize that a person forgiving another person is equally important, if not more. and no, sufism cannot and will never help anyone in this case. simply doesn't work like that in general.
Hi Carl. You should do this one, it's recent! *Bol Hu - Nescafe Basement Season 5* (Pakistani) 🙌🏼👀
Pakistan a land of gems.
React to "Khaki Banda" coke studio
They are singing in 2 languages urdu and Arabic...
This song is so good.. lyrics, voice, music artist all are great...
We listen to your reactions for comments on the actual vocals. Please give us more of that. Was missing from most of the video but appreciate the comments towards the end
You've gotta do a reaction on Shikwa Jawab e Shikwa by Coke Studio
Shit cover.
Not worth listening
It is the best song from the new season of coke studio s11. It reminds me of the songs that’s made by strings ❤️❤️
I have tears after listening this Hamad... But these people can't understand the beauty of Asian music and aarfaana kalam
Gori Rani Rani They just can’t
Dude is literally listening to the song. What do you want them to do? Speak in Urdu?
look up Mehdi Hassan if you want to look at a completely different genre of South Asian music. he is considered the godfather of Ghazal(a genre of music) here. died a few years back but left a great legacy behind. Nusrat and Mehdi sahab are two of my fav singers of all time. I sure you would find his style interesting. Have a nice day :)
Expression given on Ahmad jahanzaib's singing is excellent🌸
Ahmad is at his best 👏

Sir don't compare Indian singers with Pakistani gems when you are listening Pakistani music just talk about Pakistani music.
Thank you for this reaction! it was was stimulating

Hats off Coke studio Pakistan sir...
Allahu Akber... lots of love this Hamd.
Music and singers are great but the best thing is the Lyrics...

Please react on Shikwa Jawab e Shikwa by Coke Studio, ghoom charkhra by coke studio, Jillawatan by Pepsi Battle of the Bands
Well as you said its less desireable for them then its the technical point you already understood very Well , just like you also said its not that they cant.
So not for every song they would keep Gentle voice in any verse , in this song they just did it what song was demanding. And really thanks for appreciating these two singers are literally perfect in their skills.
Ahmad Jahanzeb is one of the underrated singer of Pakistan. I love his voice.
Strings are Pakistan's legendary pop music band.
These two souls are praying to God.

This is a very spiritual song with references from Islam.

Please react to Kangna by coke studio

Sam Hart, seen your photo kissing your man next time make sure you post pic of love making.
It is great that you look at the song from a purely technical perspective and analyse from there. However do take a step back and truly listen to the song, read the lyrics and connect with it. It is a different experience all together when you do this.

I think you'll love Sadaa sung by Rahat Fahet Ali Khan. He sings a lot of insane runs effortlessly, and the beat is a banger.
The intro was done by Shuja Haider. Who composed this song and wrote the lyrics.
