I have one more question for you. As you can see, I have accumulated a lot of experience in DIY guitar painting in a limited environment in my small garage and without any special equipment. I make mistakes, which I fix, and I test things… SO, my question: Would you be interested in a beginner's course on guitar painting? As I’m trying to make a living with RUclips and guitar building, and I see this as a good opportunity for me, and for you, a way to get a really detailed lesson about painting when you don’t have a lot of equipment and to skip a lot of that trial and error learning curve. But before doing that, would this be something that interests you? And if so, feel free to let me know how much you would be willing to pay approximately... Or tell me if it's a bad idea haha

If you are using cans to spray, you can warm them in some hot water in between shaking them up at the begining. This will help to loosen the paint and increase the pressure which should give you a better/finer mist. All of this should give a better/smoother overall finish I think. Worth the experiment for you maybe.

Thanks mate for this awesome work. The bass sounds really great and I almost play it everyday!
The mistakes are part of the job, the result is really nice in the end. I hope you’ll have other orders in the future you deserve it!

An element you might consider adding in any future P-bass type builds is to include the brass isolation plate underneath the pickup in the pickup cavity. I've included them on both of my P-bass builds and it helps with shielding from excessive noise with higher output passive bass pickups like the Duncan Quarter Pounder and also with active P-Bass pickups like EMG.

RUclips is weird. After building 2 electric guitars for my son, this week I finished my first build on demand for a fellow musician... An electric bass. 5-string Rickenbacker necktrough.
Had it play tested by another bass player during rehearsel yesterday....
Today, youtube puts this vid in my feed ...
    Nice work sir!

You do quality work and you really care. KnowIng that a quality luthier was making my bass guitar, I would not hesitate to say, take your time. No need to rush. It would be worth it to me and less stressful for you. If my birthday was coming up quickly, I would still wait.

Your clear will adhere better if you do a light, quick sanding as a final step prior to starting the clear, unless it’s a flake. Then it’s just “hope for the best”😂
    👍🏻
(I learned that doing a Jazz bass with gold flake base, topped with purple candy)

One of the best guitar making videos I've ever seen. As a guitar maker myself - Leeder Guitars, part of the fun is getting over mistakes, but I personally would NEVER use a battery screwdriver in the final assembly as one slip,,,, and its game over.
All the best for future projects. And well done.

Beau travail !

If possible, all of your flat surfaces should be block sanded in an overlapping X pattern. It immediately shows all the highs and lows and gives you a perfect reference for how much material you have left to sand as you go.

Au Québec, on a un magasin de musique qui s'appelle "Archambault". Archibault n'est pas trop difficille à prononcer pour les anglophones comme moi - at worst it sounds like Archie-bow for some people. "Archie" is too "simplified" in my opinon. Keep the name!
