I've read her book several times, and this interview was how I found you a while ago (as I was searching her name)! Yes and amen to accepting the moments of sleeplessness when they come. Don't give insomnia the power! I have come to accept that I will have occasional nights (like last night when I woke up at 12:30 AM for the day). I no longer pace back and forth wringing my hands and suffering. After a night like that, I am still able to function well, do my work, and then sleep like a baby the next night. Thankful.

Thank you for sharing this video. I've watched it previously, but like other videos, we can pick up more /greater insights as we watch and listen again. Daniel, I really like your comment about putting in effort to get to a place of no effort. I'm learning so much more about my own self and my personal struggles, alongside my journey through insomnia. Thank you for sharing again

Hello Daniel, I read Tasha’s book and it trigger my anxiety very high! Because she went so deep into the bad effects of taking medication, before she even offered any solution for helping insomnia.
I wish she would go to the heart of her treatment/help. And not so much about highlighting the dangers of sleep medication. I think most of us are very familiar with the dangers of taking any sleep meds.

Hi Eva, you know, this is partly why I’m so glad we have this interview because clearly, her thoughts have changed since writing her first book. I think today, Sasha would say that medication is not what matters, what she talks about in this interview… that’s what matters

Definitely a tight rope . I'm on a sleep window which is really helping me yet it's an effort.. hoping it's not for ever

So true. There is nothing there but an annoying fear which needs to be faced head on..

Her explanation, in response to Daniel's question of how to sit with the discomfort, is poignant. It's not a one size fits all but it kinda is. The message is you're OK even when your feelings tell you that you are not.
