    I really understand what he's gone through in regards to sleeping meds as I built up a tolerance, and I was taking more and more to help me sleep. I tried every sleep meds on the market and nothing worked in the end. I had no choice but to stop. I then had no choice but to face up to the route cause of insomnia through cbti.
    Thank you for sharing your journey, you have done very well😊

    Last night I had the “opportunity” to put into practice the things that I am learning from you and I slept!! I am looking at all the things I have coming up as opportunities to teach my brain a new story!!! It’s kinda awesome 🙌🏼

    Hi Dr. Daniel. First of all thank you so much for amazing content on youtube, it helped me so much. I wanted to ask you about my case. So 5 years ago I had a child and first time in my life I have developed horrible anxiety that caused insomnia from day 1 and lasted for months (there was a times I haven’t slept 14days straight) i got out from it and after that year or two I had some insomnia and anxiety, I thought I “ cured” it through therapy and was feeling amazing for 3 years, but about 3 weeks ago some stressful times came into my life and randomly started having terrible anxiety, i was sleeping well for first day or two of anxiety but after that my intense insomnia is back and it is full force . I was thinking to become your group couching member but wanted to ask am I right candidate since I don’t have solely sleep anxiety (even though not sleeping is is biggest fear of mine and worst anxiety symptom by far) .
    Like I slept well yesterday probably 7-8 hours but I’m Still anxious today. So i was just trying see do I need different kinda couching that is focusing more to general anxiety or your group couching is right for me. Thank u so much

    Ive recently had a relapse, After being 3 month off of Benedryl , Im back on again.. I tried the Melatonin+ L-Theanin, but ive noticed it only works when im not stressed or worried. I have a vacation coming up and I think Im going to go cold turkey.

    Does the brain heal itself especially after taking several different psych meds and having anxiety and can’t sleep at all? I’m 55, have had major anxiety and sleep deprivation 3 separate times in my life. Trying to not take anything but sleep is not coming for weeks now.

      Your brain will heal. I was on the highest dosage of sleep meds you could think of and when I stopped i couldn't sleep hardly at all. I thought the sleep meds had destroyed my brain, but they didn't. What was causing me to not sleep was hyperarousal and because I kept telling myself I can't sleep without the meds it caused more hyperarousal and anxiety and it was that line of thinking that kept me awake for nights on end. My sleep is gradually improving and yours will to. It's likely hyperarousal that is keeping you awake and not so much the meds you took. Daniel has videos regarding sleep meds which I think will be helpful to you and it should help to put your mind at rest.

      Also, it may help you to watch some of Daniel's videos on hyperarousal😊

      Can you share what all did you take

    • @kimjane7172
      @kimjane7172 21 день назад +2

      @jenniferguthrie5083 I took Benzos, zopiclone 7.5mg, Zolpidem, promethazine, Amitriptyline, mirtazapine, trazodone and then once all of those stopped working I then went onto antipsychotics which were: Quetiapine 800mg and then that stopped working and I then went onto olanzapine which didn't work at all. At this point I realised that I had no option but to stop because what was the point in taking something if it's not going to work anymore. I then had to face up to the route cause of insomnia. I'm not going to lie I went through hell, but it does get better.
