hi there , i use my fry pan every morning , bacon and eggs , but i plug mine in . old time stainless steel , no non stick that always stick or teflon that comes off , good show john
Too many $$$ for my Taste…… I doubt it can make anything taste better then my old Griswold……and I’m too cheap to find out otherwise 🤑🧐🍳💰 Enjoy my friend 👍👏🇺🇸 Rick
You’re going to have to give the “seasoned” test. By that I mean try to fry an egg in it to see if it sticks. If it doesn’t stick then it’s seasoned well, BUT, if it does stick then fry some bacon in it. Do that over and over until the eggs don’t stick, THEN it’s seasoned. I LOVE my cast iron if you can’t tell 🥰
I bought stargazer cast iron about seven years ago. I cannot imagine how this absolutely over priced pan is anything better than that brand. Stargazers incredible and it’s a third of the price.
When I had my Boy Scout Troop we used a lot of cast iron for cooking and it is fantastic, but I am with you $400.00 is a might to much. Nice to see the famous camper again. 👍
I collect cast iron and while hunting in the wild for my next piece I came across a Butter Pat in a flea market for $20 although neglected and used I restored it to its former glory. I wanted to know more about butter pat and why there were hand scribed numbers on my pan. I emailed butter pat and got a response from the founder and owner he explained the history of butter pat and the numbers scribed on my pan. Butter Pat is by far the highest quality pan made in the u.s.a.
There is no real difference in the quality of American made cast iron. It's all recycled brake rotors. You got a good deal on an overpriced piece and that's great but don't be a fanboy for a brand. Even professional chefs will tell you that none of these pans perform discernably better than any others.
You noticed the difference between sandcasting for Lodge, which is the cheapest mass production method. Vs Investment Casting on the Butter Pat/now Yeti, where they used a wax mould.
*Great Review My Friend! I Agree That Finish Is Nice But The Handle Definitely Short. I Don’t Know If I’ll Ever Buy A Cast Iron Yeti For $400 But I Do Like Their Yeti Cups*
For half the price you can get a no 10 field skillet for 200 that is absolutely as good and better in my opinion. Field company is the best modern USA cast iron you can get, especially for the price.
Butterpat industries built this pan and they sell their own product for 75 dollars less than the yeti and there is other pans from companies for 150 bucks that are just as good but for me 30 bucks lodge cast iron does 95% for a lot less 😂
The butter pat have not been machined they come out looking like that they use 100% iron and the facility, where they are casted at the company casts stuff for NASA
Hi Nick! I've never had much luck cooking with cast iron 🤷🏻♀️, I do love Yeti products, but most likely won't spend several hundred bucks on a frying pan... thank you for the unboxing tho...& I could possibly be persuaded if you post some content regarding the proper use & care of cast iron! Have a great night!😊👍🪵🪓💪🍳
$400 what? 😱 I just go around and pick up rusty ones from garage sales for a few bucks each, bring em home, scrub em down with steel wool, wash them good, and reseason them. I have $1000s worth of cast iron skillets pots and pans and I’ve only spent like maybe a couple hundred bucks. 🤷♂️ Why buy new stuff all the time when it comes to things like this. There’s literally millions already out in the wild that no one is using and wants to get rid of. 🤔
They will sell a literal metric fuckton of these to the fan base so they can have all things Yeti. There are skillets far better and cheaper. I'm still using my great grandmother's cast iron ware.
How do you hand-make a pan out of 2000° liquid iron? Stop simping. They're all made the same way. Pour insanely hot iron into mold. Let cool. Break mold. Lather, rinse, repeat. If you're paying $400 for a $250 Butter Pat just because it says Yeti on it, you'll get exactly what you deserve: to be ripped off. This pan will not do anything a $30 Lodge can't do. Heck, it won't do anything an old Wagner or Griswold - that you'd find at a swap meet - won't do. At the end of the day, it's just a slab of cast iron. It's made out recycled brake rotors, just like all the rest.
Holy cow... You traded your first born for a cast iron pan...!!! If that was true your wife would konk you with the pan and you would be seeing stars 🤩 Good video, it's interesting to see what's out there these days. ⏳
Great to see you again. But a $400.00 = 12” cast iorn pan. Thats NUTZ!
The service I've gotten from Lodge, I can't imagine any other brand. Good to see you again Nick. Love you and love to all.
Could not agree more!!!! Absolutely love lodge cast iron!!!!!
You mean you wouldn't pay $400 for the equivalent of a $30 Lodge?
I really like Lodge cast iron.
Me too!
I have just one word for this……..Lodge.
hi there , i use my fry pan every morning , bacon and eggs , but i plug mine in . old time stainless steel , no non stick that always stick or teflon that comes off , good show john
Sucker 😂 yeti is laughing at everyone that bought this 😂 guaranteed.
I doubt they actually made that much considering the company that manufacturers them sells them for 345 shoukd of came with a cooler 🤣
@NickPixelTV oh most definitely at the very least.
Too many $$$ for my Taste…… I doubt it can make anything taste better then my old Griswold……and I’m too cheap to find out otherwise 🤑🧐🍳💰 Enjoy my friend 👍👏🇺🇸 Rick
I hear you my friend. I can cook steaks on a rock 😜 i have some grid and a few others that have been passed down that I really enjoy

Shall I send you a few steaks buddies? Considering the price point, I have cast iron that lives on top of the stove from mid to early 1900s.
I will stick with my also made in USA lodge cookware. That does look very nice but unfortunately is out of my budget.
No way in gods green earth would I ever spend that kind of money on a frickin pan ever!
Cast iron which is generally dubbed as the most affordable way to cook. Lmao. This better leave a nice GOLDEN crust on my steaks at this price point.
@@jd5507it better cook the steak for you

Love Stargazer!!
I can't believe either pan is better than my eighty year old Lodge or my sixty year old Griswold.
The cups are pretty decent but that’s a ridiculous price point
I hear you!

@@martyrutter3630 troop 122 here we always had cast iron pans as wel and that would of blown the budget for sure
Good to see ya buddy. I love a good ol cast iron pan but I don't think I'll spend $400 for a pan with a special name on it. Lol

Good vid , yes it’s expensive but it’s hella nice and with the extras 👍🏽 can’t go wrong

I just saw an ad for this today
The price of that is insulting, I have the money for it sure, will I get suckered? Nope
Really nice skillet, haven’t used cast iron in years
I think you might have to bring back the cast iron buddy. Are your comments working now

@@NickPixelTV sounds great! I'll be watching for it👍
That's a nice Skillet last forever
That is one good point if it gets passed down something to think about thanks Jeff
These pans are made at Pa Percision cast parts in Lebanon,Pa. Great casting company.
they sold out will more be made?
Save your money! Lodge sells at Target for $30.
Better sleep with that under your pillow for that price!!😂❤
I agree 😉😉😉❤️
I just saw on Facebook that the handle breaks off easy
More like built for a different tax bracket 😂😂jk I have a yeti problem.
Its the truth though they are marketing to a select group with this one the cooler i can get over 😉

Happy Father's day 😊
Not sure how I missed this comment. Thank you Jeff.
Too much money
That sure does look like an awful nice pan! Not sure I'd pay for the name but i dont mind paying for quality. Wouldn't be the worst $400 I've spent🤣
Thats a great way to put it. 🤣 agree thanks andrew!
Nope
I would not buy yeti their anti-gun. For the sake of America.
