My ranking and rating of each film: 1. Scream 2 (10/10) (Did everything what the original did but better imo) 2. Scream (10/10) (Classic) 3. Scre4m (9.5/10) (Way ahead of its time with the motive and best killer reveal) 4. Scream 3 (9/10) (Sidney's best film, love the mature feel of it, most interesting mystery, and a satisfying end to the original trilogy) 5. Scream (2022) (8/10) (Great legacy sequel and a love letter to Wes Craven that also a comfort film but also has the guts to kill off two returning characters) Huge GAP 6. Scream VI (6/10) (Didn’t fully commit to new ideas it introduced, prioritized set pieces and fan service first, a lot of illogical/suspend your disbelief moments, regressed and sidelined Gale (what a way to disrespect the only OG character as an act 2 character), lack of new commentary on the horror genre, lack of mystery and red herrings, only day players die, way too much plot armor, worst killers in the franchise, killers’ motive was just lazy and a ripoff of Mrs. Loomis, feels more like a real life Stab film than a Scream film if I’m being completely honest. Overall, it’s decent but very disappointing and gimmicky)
Disagree with 6 being above 5, but other than that, solid ranking 👍
