A JOURNEY INTO THE UNSEEN - An ArtWalks Performance
UNSEEN is everything that is present that I can feel, but cannot see.
It represents my invisible internal perception.
UNSEEN is a dialogue between me as an artist and me as a human being. It stands for my quest for answers within myself.

A JOURNEY INTO THE UNSEEN represents a series of videos that mimic my everyday life in three phases.
Clearly segmented, they interpret:
MEDITATION as a source of guidance and information;
WORK ROUTINE as a physical incentive and an obstacle;
SYMBOLIC INTEGRATION WITH THE ARTWORK as the final blend-in, the essence of ArtWalks.
Videos show my meditative creative process and portray the artist as a warrior. With art being a continuous battle, the artist is constantly subject to tests of endurance, always on the verge of giving up and making it through.
Guided by meditation and the process, I focus on the artist and the environment, where one reflects upon the other. I see the artist as an inseparable part of the artwork and only together they make a complete piece. This requires the physical, mental and emotional presence of the artist within the painted piece. When they are inevitably separated, the painting is left with a silhouette-shaped hole, a trace of the artist’s physicality, yet it remains infused with the emotive and philosophical elements from its creator.
Is the silhouette-shaped hollow a flaw or is it the essence of creation?
This duality of the presence and the absence and the contrast they produce are my core interests.

ArtWalks is a multidisciplinary art concept that integrates performance, painting, living sculpture, installation, graffiti, photography, and other techniques. ArtWalks pieces are created with contemplation on movement and body art and represent a holistic approach to the process of creation.
Dynamic in essence, ArtWalks stand for the perpetual state of change, movement and evolution.
