      Lol same here, my gf is working on becoming a M.A and I always wonder what kind of work she would be doing. I'm actually more nervous for her, because she never worked before and she recently arrived to the US from DR, so her english isn't perfect, but she manages. So i'll show her these videos so she can be more prepared. Thank you!!

      You got this girl! You Can definitely get out of McDonald's. Of course there's nothing wrong with working in fast food however if you want more then definitely pursue it! Search up local community colleges they usually have medical assistant programs. The program that I took at the local community college here was barely $2,000 and it was only 6 months and I got a job 2 months out of getting certified. I love my job as a medical assistant! I escaped retail and so happy about it. Being a medical assistant is definitely worth it! Go for a girl!

      Princess Sarae I did one internship this summer (graduated early) so that’s the only thing I did. I mean just apply the worst they can say is “due to the overwhelming amount of applicants...we regret to inform you...”🤷🏽‍♀️😂

    • @SaraeRaveen
      @SaraeRaveen 5 лет назад

      CuteBitties Okay! Thank you so much. You answered my question in great detail. This is exactly what I needed clarification on. Do you know or remember how long the training was? Was the pay any good?

    • @CuteBitties
      @CuteBitties 5 лет назад +2

      Princess Sarae you are very welcome! Training length varies by program. There are online programs by ed2go or auburn university online CMA programs. I am sure there are others out there. I would not recommend a traditional student to do a CMA program online. However, as a Bio graduate you should not have no problems. The online program I did was self paced. It took me 9 months because I was completing it while working and finishing up another degree but you can complete it as fast as you are able too. However, just look for a program near you or online that’s not costly and fairly quick . Pay varies by area. Pay can vary from 10-15/hr. What is your motivations for doing an MA ?

I’ve been four years at my clinic and I make 18.00 so not bad :) I’m at the moment helping with the COVID vaccines and let me tell you I get time in half. I think private clinics are more and obvious various in states.

    What are the differences between MA and RN in the USA? here in Germany RN/MA almost do the same things, I’d say MA do less patient care (as in cleaning the patient, making the beds etc) but the study programs are almost identical, we use the same books (MA have English and RN has a neurology block that medical assistants study together with another subject )
