I've missed a concerning number of skillshots from point blank when they dash or walk through

To me it looks like the Q spell coding snapshots the location of the target right before it hits and then latches on regardless of whether or not the target is still at that location aka. whether or not the target is still within its hitbox area.
Akali: i can follow my enemy everywhere on the map. Nautilus : so can i.
Wawrick: Having been zilean speed boosted and missing his ult... still flying.
Og pantheon had it too on his w stun lol
theres many abilities that follow, akali is just kind of the most "obvious" of them because of the projectile marking.

Q 1-5: Clearly Hit
Q 6-9: Hit due to terrain elevation (good spray control).
Q 10-11: Very close, but hitbox and terrain elevation make these reasonable hits
Q 12: Likely didn't actually hit because Mundo was already dead.

Everytime vandiril doesnt have a new bug to do a video on, he just picks naut and hooks himself into bugmania
This isn't about nautilus Q but most likely about how flash / fp is coded. Probably at every time there must exist at least one instance of the champion. When u flash / tp, most likely for a very narrow window there exist 2 instances of the champion in the original position (the "leftover copy") and in the new position. Abilities like naut Q leona E can probably tag the leftover copy and then go to the updated location since it refreshes next frame. This same interaction happened in G2 vs TES when mikyx on leona hex-flashed kill jackeylove on varus. If u watch it on 0.25 speed u can actually see how leona attaches to him in the place from where he flashed and then goes to the new location. Probably from programming reasons / spaghetti, this functionality couldnt be implemented another way
It's because the Tp/Flash system is not exactly a teleport, It's as if the champion had 99999 movespeed. That's why when there are those rammus/janna/quinn glitch with a lot of movespeed it seems like they teleport but not, it's the same thing that happens with Flash/TP.

It's like when Warwick can Q and attach to an enemy unit and follow it through dashes, flashes and tp.

Why would there be a second instance? You don't create a copy of an object and delete the old one. You just set a different position. I don't know if it was ever changed but it used to be the case that recall and teleport couldn't be canceled in the last 500 ms. Since Nautilus Q hit towards the end of that timeframe, Mundo's teleport wasn't interrupted. But Nautilus Q doesn't seem to use Mundo's position at the time when it hit, but Mundo's current position. So a few frames later when Mundo was already at the new position and when it was time to calculate where Nautilus should end up, it used Mundo's current position instead of the position he had been in originally.

The most interesting thing is where it teleports the naut. It doesn’t teleport him next to the mundo after the tp, it teleports him further away from the mundo, implying that naut q has a hard coded max range that is centered on the anchor, meaning that naut has to be within a certain distance of the anchor and not the anchor has to be within a certain distance of naut

Pretty sure the game does the collision detection pretty much instantly after a short delay to not be to obvious and then it plays the animation, even though it was already decided if you are gonna get hit.
You could try to pinpoint that with anivia's wall I guess.

Probably a tick rate issue rather than anything else, similar how tethers connect when the person isn't even in range for it to stun/root.

If you just rotate his Q so the anchor flies sideways it fits near perfect btw
looks more like the shadow bug. The one let you land your skills on a target that just show up from invisible, like shaco q, by aiming at the position he disappeared at.

I remember that in season 4 or 5 I encountered a similar bug. I was running away with TF's ulti and Nautilus' hook followed me. I teleported and got yancked back from half map away.

It looks like a weird interaction where the hitbox touched Mundo's right as Mundo's TP went through. For a split-second, as Mundo's animation disappears but the hitbox stays there, Nautilus' Q lands on it. Before the section of code that makes it pull the target to him and himself to the target is executed, the hitbox is properly moved to the TP coordinates, with the Hook attached. Then the double pull happened as intended. Technically not a bug, just a very weird interaction.
I think the hitbox of where mundo was lingered or the hook overlapped where he was durning the TP. It resolved the TP and then the hook.
Nauts hook moves him and his target so league probably just updated the locations of the champs. mundo pulled x units, and naut is y units from mundo.

A couple of days ago I used my Naut Q for the enemy in front of me, and guess what happened xD I hooked the minion behind me.
I actually think this isn’t that bad all things considered. It’s just like WW q or akali E but has a much stricter timing to pull off and isn’t always beneficial compared to just stopping the teleport.

3 hit boxes I hate in the game.
- Nautilus Q seems to register hits in the future, like it hits you after you dodged it. (very much what happens in this video).
- Morgana Q seems to have phantom range AND phantom width
- Jhin's W seems to be pixel-wide, literally impossible to fail at dodging unless you're already immobilized.

I think this might not be related to Nautilus but it may be some sort of lingering hitbox after tp so after nautilus hit mundo that wasnt even there riot spaghetti code forced naut to hook the real mundo.
Didn't it catch mundo in his recall animation right before it took him back?

Tbh, that's not nautilus problem, it is Tp's/recalls problem. I had a thresh hook that should have stopped a recall but instead it went straight into opponent's fountain :')
I wonder if it is hitbox or based on a weird thingabout teleport no longer being interruptable the last 0.0 something seconds and then the slight delay between naut q hitting and the pull allowing the increase in length.
