My way of understanding painting is very particular, it is very far from what is understood as painting miniatures. It is becoming more and more popular and I feel proud to share my art with the community.
@@Sergiocalvominiatures I've never been into painting miniatures - only recently even became interested in something like WH40K - but I was absolutely hypnotized watching you work. To see those dull grey figurines transform in front of my eyes like that, detail by microscopic detail... I couldn't look away. Every time I thought you had finished with a section, there was a little bit more. Sorry I'm gushing - I'm just stunned at the transformation, that's all.
As for this style becoming more popular, I'm not surprised. The results are absolutely incredible. Thank you for sharing!
The snippets of light through the trees hitting his body are so beautiful! Masterfully done!
One thing i noticed is that you almost never go with a super small brush size. The amount of control you have is unlike anything ive ever seen before
Truly amazing
No, using a smaller brush will not give you more control when painting. It is something that is hard to understand but it is the reality. It is a matter of practice and knowing when to use the tip or the side of the brush.

He descubierto tu canal de casualidad buscando videos de la nueva colección que ha sacado Salvat de Warhammer. Empecé a pintar miniaturas cuando iba al instituto y sacaron la colección del señor de los anillos, lo abandoné y hace algún tiempo compré una caja de Age of Sigmar de Warhammer, pinté alguna miniatura y estoy contento porque ahora pinto mejor, se gana experiencia y habilidad con el pincel pero amigo, esto es otra liga... tengo un problema y es que me encanta este grado de perfeccionismo que tienes, ojalá tuviera tantas horas para invertir en el hobby. Te dejo un buen like y por supuesto me suscribo porque estoy seguro de que voy a aprender un montón de trucos y técnicas viendo tus videos.

Such a fascinating style and method of painting. For example with the bright green/yellow chunky highlights around the 15 mins mark I would have been like “ugh I wrecked it”. But you paint with such extreme confidence and the end result is just stunning.
I like to explore different ways of playing with color, always aspiring to achieve something better.

I've watched this a few times, and I've made some notes of the things I've learned.
First and foremost, there is no replacement for experience. The brush and airbrush control in this speaks for itself. How dare your years of hard work pay off and give you incredible skills! (This is a joke.)
Second, from my count, for some of the airbrush you used a 2:1:1 (or a 6:3:1 ratio for thinner layers) of water drops, thinning drops, and a paintbrush full of paint for your airbrush ratios. ((I am very bad with all things to do with an airbrush, I will experiment with acrylic thinner next time :3 ))
Next, texture and volume is built up over multiple layers here. Including "color correction" steps.
For the rider I see these steps:
Started with a dark, warm base, but not black.
Next a light and general blocking of first layer of where the light will hit.
Then a pass of shadow blocking. The next pass seems to be "shadows" in the lit area.
The brush is busted out, lighter shadows than the original base are brushed back in. This really defines a lot of areas.
Then a lighter color is mixed and the next lighter colors and textures are blocked in. Shadows are avoided to leave the darkest colors stay.
Texture, color, and highlights are added to the skin in multiple passes of lighter and slightly more vibrant colors are made.
A similar step is done for the red vest and the necklaces.
This is also done for the leathers, furs, and metals. (Not all of this is on the recording, but you can see the changes in other shots.)
After what looks to be no less than 3-5 steps of adding to each area and texture, the airbrush is brought back out.
Mor vibrant colors are glazed in with the airbrush, in some areas.
Back to the paintbrush, we are now entering true highlight area, but white is still mixed with a secondary color.
Black ink is glazed into recesses and small areas to bring in shadows.
I will keep watching, and keep learning. And one day have enough for patreon :3

Nice work here. Love the different variation of the colors and how everything blends together perfectly.
