You can also trigger the robbery by giving money to the homeless man outside the stable in Saint Denis and wait for him to tell you about the robbery tip.
50$ from the table, 17$ in the safe, gold nugget is 25$, premium cigarettes and stuff from the kitchen and the guys, and 20$ from the gunsmith in the register.Thats around 140$.You get 300$ from a fully robbed train so yeah its actually good to rob the GunSmith.
lol Before I started this, there was someone in store so I walked out and they pickpocket me. Chase them down and got money and made an extra $166 bucks.
The same thing happened to me but I didn’t realize what happened until the shop owner told me I was just pickpocketed. I ran after him, got my money and decided not to rob the poker game because I felt like I owed him one. Came back the next day and robbed it. Lol

I managed to take the guard in the room out with a throwing knife and kill the guy with the combination (accidentally, I thought he was going to pull a gun) silently without alerting the authorities. Robbed the room first before blowing the safe open with dynamite. Grabbed the loot and jumped onto the neighboring roof just outside the upstairs door. Never got a bounty, just had to book it from the immediate area and lay low until the searching wore off. It was a bit more grandiose but it worked.
Everytime I try to get the items at the store, any store, in this situation, someone comes by and alert the cops. The same happened at Rhodes' gunsmith, even with him saying I could take what I wanted. So I gave up trying to get the extra stuff.
When I entered for the first time trying to do this, I got pick-pocketed for 600 dollars and had to chase the man down, and I threw my lasso and hogtied him, looting him for over 1000 dollars. I was so happy about this.
I was looting the gun store and some guy walked in but I didn't see or hear him so I got a hearty 50 dollar bounty on my head for escaping the police. Thanks for this amazing tutorial though! It helped me through every step of the way
I just noticed last night that if you loot the saddlebags of the horses around any town you won’t get a wanted level. You can even do it in front of everyone
you still get a bounty though, I saw the guy that took mr black and mr whites bounty poster and immediately beat his and took it off him. I took off on my horse and lost the law quick and had a 5 dollar bounty for unarmed assault
My lowest bounty was 1.50 for the Valentine back room. Took masking up, murdering only the o'driscoll's and then tying everyone else up and then sprinting from the sheriff's waiting outside.
At least now, for the Valentine robbery, if you don't kill anyone besides the people in the backroom and make it out of town, you'll only have a $1.50 bounty. Tried it earlier in my current playthrough, reloading saves to see if I could get it without a bounty. You can't but it was always $1.50 unless I killed lawman and then it was more
pro tip after knocking out the gunsmith steal the ammo and the register there will be a npc coming inside for a while but leaves after a few secs if you do this after taking the money upstairs the npc will snitch on you had to redo the whole encounter because of that

You should take the guys out,tie up the woman,because...she's a woman 😂,or just kill her,I didn't do that,take the money on the table and the Schofield Revolver and get out,if you stay more than that to loot everything else you won't get away in time,and always remember not to shoot any lawman,just run enough to get your horse and lose them,I got $50,the best revolver and only $1,50 of bounty,there's not need to be greedy.

Then everybody else when i got a bounty. If i hadnt killed them, i wouldve gotten more cash. I died and couldn't rob the store after.

It’s also very important to do it in the noon. Much better if it’s raining as there are no ppl on street to witness and the sound doesn’t go out that easy. I pulled off this robbery perfectly at the 8th try as I didn’t want to be suspected at all. The only time this works is in the noon. The police will be alerted while you are robbing the 3 men during the night and morning. In the noon, you might be able to get away

I'd probably consider doing this for at least 2000 dollars. The game gave me more than 5000 dollars for doing nothing just passing through the story anyway.

You use L2 to interact with Npc so while holding L2 you have an option to aim weapon by pressing R2 at npc. I think I haven’t tried it yet though
