Brake failure? Lol. The driver simply didn’t stop in time and or couldn’t negotiate the turn. That’s obvious driver error.
If you have ever been on those mta buses you know damn well most of the bus operators are absolutely dangerous and reckless especially the express bus drivers

Ture, but these transportation companies don't care about the general safety of the public when dollars and cents are to be made, keeping up with schedules, passengers upset cause your late to the stop when it's out of your control, it's slot to consider before judging however your correct it still falls on the individual in charge of the the vehicle

Not a brake failure, those CNG buses are top heavy with their tanks on the roof. If the bus was speeding then that would have cause it not to turn properly. The conference states that the gps tracker was showing that the bus was doing 17-26 mph when the bus should have doing 3-5mph for the turn.
All the MTA will give to passengers is probably a courtesy pass.
The good news is that there will be another bus in ten minutes.

They need to get rid of those ridiculous extra long buses. I hopes the MTA gets sued.
And get what instead? The articulated buses have a much higher capacity than a standard rigid bus, so they’re really useful when ridership on a certain route is high or when there’s a special event. The only other option would be to use double-decker buses instead, which would be very limited in where they can go due to their height, and NYC would start to look like London (not that that’s bad or anything).
