Glad to see Anna and Holly's hubbies joining in on the campaign. I commend their bravery for playing guest characters...as we all know of their historically may-fly lifespans... Also....Anna handling the twitchcon recording issue LIKE A BOSS.
As much as I enjoyed what remains of their performances it is truly sad that the actual interactions between the two brothers have been lost do to screw ups.
For people who are asking about episode 65... The crew explained what happen literally minutes into the video, just take a few moments away from the comment section and watch the video cause the official explanation is in the video
www.reddit.com/r/DiceCameraAction/comments/78774l/episode_65_bait_and_twitch_the_missing_parts/ link that explains everything that happened before the T-Rex showing up in episode 65. :- )
The problem is that people don't want to get spoiled when "the last time on dice camera action" starts, why would they start the episode if they are looking for 65?
I mean they start every single time by briefly recapping the previous episode. Maybe watching the spoilery beginning isn't always the best option to figure out why one's missing.
Ross is that one player in the group who rolls so many 20's that everyone else gets annoyed. We had one of those, too. XD PS: THANK YOU ANNA!!! That D-Door issue had been bugging me for so long! I remember being in chat when it was first used and we were all going ballistic over that.
I know right? Because I specifically remembered Strix using it to transport her and Diath across a lake onto a boat when they rescued the little Vistani girl Arrabelle (or however you spell her name) from being thrown into the lake in a sack by some possessed dude. So it always bugged me whenever they D-Door'd somewhere and Chris would say only the caster could use it, like in the marketplace fight in Port Naianzaru when Paultin used it to reach the roof where Diath and the Zhentarim Assassins were fighting but had to leave Simon behind on the street, thus leading to the hostage situation a few minutes later.
Ross kicks ass, really. On one hand he plays like that "chaotic neutral" player nobody likes, on the other he's legitimately funny and charming and adorable in his despicableness.
Actually Strix is the oldest living character. This is the Simon from the past which means that was just after he was initially constructed. Strix in that timeline was already an adult so she had a few years on him and then they both were together 50 years. /Technically/ they're all older than Simon but they got returned to their pre-death ages after spending 50 years in the Ethereal Realm. The old original timeline Simon was destroyed and turned into Evelynn's "Real Girl" body by that dwarf. If we consider the 50 years in the Ethereal Plane as not counting toward their ages, then the three oldest characters (in order of age) are Strix, Waffles, and Simon. Diath, physically, is the youngest party member (he was turned into a teenager and Chris never said he changed back). There was a comment about Strix using goat blood to slow/stop aging. If she succeeded, then Waffles is physically the oldest member of the party but in terms of time spent living, Strix is on top.
Tomb of Annihilation, the whole setting is great so far! So many cool details. Just three thoughts: In CoS there was the enemy Strahd, a nemisis of the crew, which was a underlying threat. I thought this concept of "knowing who the enemy is and fear him" added a lot to the story and the character development. So I hope we will soon see some foreshadowing of Acererak. I mean, to put the group under more pressure. Second thought: I love the humor of the Crew, this is what makes all of them so great for me! But I also think there needs to be some time for the serious arcs, like the stuff that was going on in episodes 52 to 58 (60). In this episode Evelyn encountered a saint of Lathander, and for me this felt to short/didn´t get as much room as it deserved. I feel sometimes it´s not easy for the players to switch from kind of slapstick to the emotional stuff. And I would have loved to see a little more of the place...was it somewhere in the Elysium? Last thought: Chris plays gods or the like a little otherworldly, not just here but in general. But I am not convinced that this really was a gift from Lathander, the whole speech from the Saint, including the "Lathander loves you" to me felt like it had an underlying tone that was threatening . On the other hand that could easily be just a case of "beeing in the presence of something far above your understanding", which must come of as dangerous. And I know, Chris said it is "Lathanders plessing of health". But I won´t put it past Chris (aka Acererak, who is known for toying with godhood) to mess with Evelyn in that way. But obviously I´m going crazy here, rigth? So can somebody confirm that St. Andrel looks like that? And has Eronia (Morninglory) serveral suns? I would feel safer for Evelyn if that would be the case...Anyway, love the show! *nervous laughter*
1:11:42 and 1:36:46 both makes me cry. Thank you Anna, Jared and Chris for those beautiful moments. And looking at Chris, it feels like he though Evelyn really needed that.
1:03:44 I think that's the closest we'll ever hear Anna Prosser Robinson get to Evelyn singing death metal to the Morning Lord. Lord of Mourning, if you will... 😏
Well I finally came full circle! Took me like a year to get this far with Dice Camera Action but I started watching it right after Dragons and Places. I have to say i really love both! I am starting my own DandD adventure with a group of friends hopefully very soon. Thanks guys!
Strix: "Don't make me force it in your mouth when you're asleep!" Me, "uh... phrasing?" :/ Holly: "I grab her hand and put her finger in it." Me: "Phrasing.. Please" :O
"we have no light sources ... Wait I think I have something that glows...nevermind I can't remember..." Paultin literally has a Sun Sword, and Evelyn has a flame-tounge greatsword. Also does Anna not have Cure Wounds? She has never used it but all Paladins should have it. Suboptimal for sure.
I'm excited for the legend of Wumba to continue. Wumba Strix Bane, telling stories of the horrible witch who left him for dead. He seeks those who would help him get his revenge.
Oh thank Lathander I thought I'd gone mad, goodish to know episode 65 doesn't technically exist. The episode I made in my head however, should be solid enough to work off of.
Chris, you are just spoiling Anna rotten with all these gifts. It's not every campaign one get's to become a super-robot Paladin. She is but a few steps a way from becoming Lethander's own personal Metatron. Just give it a few levels.
I'm really trying to keep watching this but I'm find it hard with a Lawful Stupid paladin. She will steel every weapon she comes across but when something is placed in game expressly for her and she resists just on the basis that now everything is for everyone else and not her. I know some are saying she is just playing her character and I understand but this is just being obtuse for no reason at all
Gregory Wallace Right. I know this was supposed to be a big, dramatic, character building moment but in my head I'm like "JUST DRINK THE DAMN POTION WOMAN"
Hi, I recognized Dragonbait from some DND novels a while back. Azure bonds by Kate Novak and ... ummm Jeff Grub comes to mind. His race is called Saurial. He actually can speak his native tongue but can't speak common. He emits scents to express his emotions.
Sunlight is a leading brand of dishwashing liquid in South Africa, so fighting over a "flask of sunlight" is that little more entertaining from here.
"Strix, get your drift globe out"
"I threw it at Strahd 50 years ago"
"Oh"
I feel that Ross did exactly what goblin would do

wumba gets knocked down, he gets up again, you aren't ever gonna keep him down

I can't seem to find the part of the vod that should be up there

I like Wumba. He's great for comedic effect. I hope if he returns it will be in a grand and ridiculous fashion.
Ross is that one player in the group who rolls so many 20's that everyone else gets annoyed. We had one of those, too. XD

Thank god for chat on that Dimension Door call
Wumba began his story trying to save Chumba. Ends it by killing him. I love this character. So much. I can't wait to see Ross in a proper campaign.
I get a kick that they call Murder bot there son when he is older then they are.
IM4U2NV000 he adopted

He isn't.
They went back in time and found him when he was brand new. so they are all older than he is now.
Wow somehow this episode. Ended on a highnote.
Ohmygod, it hurts to laugh. I'm crying. This was the best. Wish I could have seen the one before it though. Still, had a blast with this.
I absolutely loved Ross in this, I hope he comes back.

“To whoever reads this,” _oh shit this is gonna be serious_ “I got totally wrecked bro” oh
I thought Ross was supposed to be playing a goblin, not a troll.
Best guest so far.
Well every D&D character reflects their player in some way, so...
1:11:42 and 1:36:46 both makes me cry. Thank you Anna, Jared and Chris for those beautiful moments. And looking at Chris, it feels like he though Evelyn really needed that.
*sees Ross*
*Thinks to Self* Oh god this is going to end horribly.
1:03:44 I think that's the closest we'll ever hear Anna Prosser Robinson get to Evelyn singing death metal to the Morning Lord.
Lord of Mourning, if you will... 😏

Evelyn forgets she can check for good and evil.
p.s.....sorry Jeff isn't feeling well...good on him for trying to make it this session though.
Oh man, Anna. Giving me that gut punch with that moment vulnerability. I actually teared up.
If Paultin acted on his beliefs, he'd be something like Wumba.
Surprinsingly accurate
Paultin isn't energetic enough to be like that. If somebody gave him crack, he *would* be
Episode 65 is an illusion due to the fact that chumba and wumba were busy tubthumping and distracting everyone
I nearly died with laughter with ross that was the funniest thing in this campaign so far
Strix: "Don't make me force it in your mouth when you're asleep!"
Me, "uh... phrasing?" :/
Holly: "I grab her hand and put her finger in it."
Me: "Phrasing.. Please" :O
Ross is one of the best characters here
I love it.
Also... Lathander gave Evelyn magic sun juice. What.
Just in case you weren't sure Chult was a death trap.
Fekkin goblins! Love those little buggers!
The story of the man and crocodile reminds me of Jim Cook from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX who literally carried a crocodile on his back.
Goddamnit Ross.
I thought for sure Evelyn would take her holy symbol or her body back
I mean, she wanted to remain a werewolf because it made her more powerful. As a player if not a character this shouldn't surprise you at all.
"It is being dealt with." Ominous, Anna.
Wumba was a ass but he was funny as hell I think he should make a return
That look tho 30:12 XD
This crew is so fun. No real heroes, just people doing their best
Spoiler for @ about 00:02:30
I really appreciate the apology for the technical failure. "It is being dealt with." Her smile gave me chills.
Didn’t Strix turn Chumba into a cloud when she cast the spell on Paultin? So Wumba should have been left all by his lonesome.
they need to do a crossover with crit role because scanlan paultin and grog would party hardy
The episode I made in my head however, should be solid enough to work off of.
goddamnit ross.
Well, isn't this awkward....
"is this the end of the episode where i get a week to decide?"
1:39:23 you're welcome, comment section. Less than three.
So like... If the goblins double moved, wouldn't the have pretty much made it out? I'm pretty sure they would have. God damnit Ross...
took me about a week to watch every episode up until now
One of the best episodes!
Thank you chat for correcting this incorrect use of my favorite spell of all time, Dimension Door. xD
I find it funny that the video before this Chris said "get your vitamin c!" And people got deathly ill according to this episode.
This was kind of interesting and finally someone to oppose Evelyn even though it´s just a temporary character
Watching this from much later when Crit Role is on Campaign 2, I want to see a Wumba / Nott mashup.
*turns on subtitles towards end of episode* "So go chck out the desk erection sub reddit..." yeah... no... pretty sure thats not what he said lmao
Side plot, Loki and Thor as goblins. Fantastic.
Omg wtf Anna made a good decision. I was sure she would fix her damn plus 1 magic axe
Luck of the Irish, right?
Ross isn't Irish.
I thought he was born in Ireland, and raised in Australia, living in California, resulting in a perfect abomination of an accent. Have I been misled?
I believe his dad was born in Ireland.
eyy, Aussie Pride
Ahhh holly did half a God dammit ross
OMG Holly's glasses are what I want. I need those! Ross is so good cause he's to naive. Paultin is my fav. Hi5
Lathandar is officially Dadthandar
MY MAIN CHARACTER I PLAY IS A GOBLIN WARLOCK WITH A SPEAR BLESS U ROSS
Pew good to see ya back again TWC, I guess I'll have to do some reading
How much EXP would Wumba get from Chumba after killing him? XD
28:25 Strix dont Kill Diath PLs
Godamnit Ross!
Awesome episode
Breh, Trap Wizard? Please
Chris, you are just spoiling Anna rotten with all these gifts. It's not every campaign one get's to become a super-robot Paladin. She is but a few steps a way from becoming Lethander's own personal Metatron. Just give it a few levels.
Paladin.Exe has finished downloading
goddamn it wumba!
1:25 is the rossiest thing Ross has done EVER
Ross, please no!
Zombie George I love your symbol. I watched the show as a kid when it was new.
Ooooh, sockpuppet theater!
Best episode in a while
Wumba's will jfc
1:01:19 metaphorically yeah... poor Diath.
Finally Ross! Yessssss!!!!
I was like Darth Vader at the end of Revenge of the Sith when I heard about episode 65
I am glad I now know about the sock puppet show after watching 65 episodes... Still better this way.
Wumba best character
Is Evelyn still a robot...?
So we've seen the girls' partners as guests. Now let's see jerads or paultins partners. Hmmm
Where's artus?
a chat being helpful..
1:23:00 Wow talk about IRL relationship metaphor....
I'm really trying to keep watching this but I'm find it hard with a Lawful Stupid paladin. She will steel every weapon she comes across but when something is placed in game expressly for her and she resists just on the basis that now everything is for everyone else and not her. Gregory Wallace Right. I know this was supposed to be a big, dramatic, character building moment but in my head I'm like "JUST DRINK THE DAMN POTION WOMAN"
She is not lawful.
well the only law she follows is that she guesses her gods want her to follow. No earthly law holds her.
So excited for the Waffle Crew sock puppet theater!!!
Was there an Episode 65 or am I missing something?
thats what anna was explaining at the start. it was a live show, but there were technical difficulties and that episode was lost, mostly
What race is dragon bait
Alex Vierthaler Saurian, if I remember correctly.
Hi, I recognized Dragonbait from some DND novels a while back. Azure bonds by Kate Novak and ... ummm Jeff Grub comes to mind. His race is called Saurial. He actually can speak his native tongue but can't speak common. He emits scents to express his emotions.
Ross! Yassssssssss!
Wow, Wumba's a jerk...
How can he look cool but never hit? Simple he is a pacifist rogue
If you want to see ep65 you are SOL
Where is episode 65....cant find it anywhere
Ross!
Geoff cant play today? ooooowww...im soo sad x3 /notreally
Ross > Geoff
